I am using the same book review presentation this year too because I love how they look. Louise Penny is a favorite - I have all of her books. They are a Canadian police procedural but great character building too. I've heard they aren't for everyone but I adore them.
what I've been reading | December 2021
December is most often a slow reading month for me. It just is. I don't know why, especially since I have reading goals and as of today some of those reading goals were not met for 2021. However, for some reason, I am okay with that. I had planned on reading books that feel like winter or Christ...
Thanks so much Alexa! I used digital letter stamps to create the cover page (enlarged the letters to cover the entire 10 x 8.25 2-page spread.
Favorite books 2021.
2021 was a delightful reading year. I'm excited to share all my favorites of the year. For my December Daily® album this year I put a page together documenting what I read in 2021. It was so fun to see all those titles on one fold-out page. (Note: December Daily® is a scrapbooking, memory ke...
Thank you! Sometimes I think a 4 x 6 page isn't really a page but I love it, especially because of the journal insert.
December Daily 2021 | Story 9
One thing I love about any size album is that it gives you the opportunity to create pages in various sizes. The stories we tell do not have to be big and loud and take up a lot of space. I had one picture from this night and the movie poster. Plus, tickets from the event. I started with the s...
Thanks Alexa! So not my idea. In one of Ali Edwards' December Daily product play classes she shared the idea! I loved it and keep using it.
December Daily 2021 | Story 8
When I began seeing the previews and trailers and the Instagram posts for Hawkeye, the latest Marvel mini-series that was coming to Disney+ I knew I would be including it in my December Daily album this year. Like last year when we watched the mini-series Mandalorian, it became a part of our h...
I haven't read Jayber Crow but I just recently put it on my holds list. I have read Hannah Coulter and a couple Charles Martin books and can see Winston Browne being in similar genre.
What I've been reading | August 2021
Welcome to the post that is all about what I have been reading lately. Included in this post is how I am documenting what I have been reading - in a 4 x 8 Citrus Twist kits album (you can see the remainder of the inserts for this month's reading documenting at the bottom of this post). In addi...
Thanks so much Alexa! I have tons of reading-related digital stamps and am always up for acquiring more!
what I've been reading | February 2021
Today I am sharing what I have been reading lately, the February 2021 edition. I am not at all unhappy with the fewer books read after my January success because I read some amazing books - like, foremost, Anxious People, which I read for my book club. After the lively discussion had, I will...
Lis, thank you so much! I'm just not a fan of romance, these days. I have noticed so many love The Unhoneymooners, though. I went and read some reviews on The Broken Earth trilogy and it looks intriguing. I find I enjoy world-building fantasy, dystopian when I have had the occasion to read them.

Oh Stacie, yes! You must. My entire book club adored the book, even with the subject. So good!

A new chapter, a new reading life in January 2021. I've been faithfully reading from my bookshelves or library holds and I racked up quite the stack of finished books in this first month of the new year; off to grand beginnings tallied towards my 2021 Reading Goals. I'm pleased as punch with...

Thank you so much Stacie. My reading scrapbooks are some of my favorite. I'm not an audio reader but I heard Daisy Jones was fantastic on audio, although I enjoyed the style of writing so much.

Thanks Elena! I might check out the film adaptation of Rebecca, although it might be just to suspenseful for my tastes. I visit your blog regularly and enjoy it immensely.

2021 Reading Goals
2020 was a fairly successful reading year in that I met the majority of my reading goals. The 'read a book published every year since I was born' 2020 goal was a wash, however. While I read 40 of 57 books, that goal unmet, and the year 2020 for all its angst, is the very reason my reading goa...
You're so kind Carrie! Thank you so much for commenting. I'm hoping to re-read some of my favorites this year and dig into my TBR pile that are on my list. I did just put about 12 books on hold at the library and I have already received 2/12. Super excited for my reading year.

Thank you Carrie! It was fun to put together and so revealing. I am looking forward to discussing who we are as readers at my book club.
100 Things About Me as a Reader
Source The other day when I visited Modern Mrs. Darcy's blog she had posted 100 Things About Me as a Reader. It was based on a project introduced by elementary school teachers who wanted their students to learn about the importance of knowing themselves as readers. The project originated 10 y...
Yes, it was wonderful gathering. It was only 9 of us so fairly small group. My mom has alot of health issues (as do I) so we've had to cancel quite a few visits over the year. Thank you so much for your thoughtful expressions of my pages, too!!!

Thanks so much! I think if I'd read Ballet Shoes as a child I would have appreciated it more.
What I've Been Reading Lately | October Edition
Today I am sharing what I've been reading in October. A few so so books and several fantastic reads. Maya Angelou's And Still I Rise is definitely a favorite of this month as was Max Lucado's, How Happiness Happens and A.W. Tozer's, The Pursuit of God; the last two of which Jeff and I ...
Hey Christine, I am sticking with my 4 x 8 album for 2020 and don't have any plans to print those review pages. If you look in my categories you'll see other ways, in past years I have documented my reading: 100 Books in 2018 I made 6 x 8 pages and inserted them into my About Me album. In 2017 I created 12 x 12 monthly pages of what I read. 2019 was 4 x 8, also. In 2016 I documented the 52 books I read in a 4 x 4 album. In 2015, the first year I documented what I was reading I simply made a 2-page, 12 x 12 and added the book cover into squares with no reviews. Hope this helps some.

30 Pages in 30 Days | 8
This page, actually 2- 8.5 x 11 pages side by side is another CZ Design template. If I am to complete 30 Pages in 30 Days it is a given - understood - that I would need to use templates in order to remove the guess work out of design. This template not only offered design but story idea as wel...
