The SSS Let's Chill release is full of summer goodness. My favorite stamp set in the release is called Beach Huts. It's a 4x6 stamp set, so smaller, but a lot is packed into this little masterpiece. I have always loved little colorful beach houses and living near the beach means I love it too! You can purchase just the Beach Huts stamp set or it can be purchased with a set of matching dies. Here is the bundle: And here are my five cards: I ended up making two slimline cards and one mini-slimline card because this set just worked well on that background size. I started this one with the SSS Slimline Nested Rectangle Dies die-cut from white... Continue reading

It's my fourth day working with the Simon Says Stamp new embossing folders/dies from their Let's Chill Release. If this is the first time you have visited, you can see the other posts here: Floral Harmony Embossing Folder and Die, Sunflower Fields Embossing Folder and Die, and Dandy Floral Embossing Folder and Die. Today I have a card using the Alstroemeria Embossing Folder and Die. I had no idea what that flower was or much less how to spell it, but after a google search, I had a good idea what they look like. Here is an image of the embossing folder and die set: I haven't used the included dies on any of the cards I've made with these... Continue reading

I don't know if you saw my post yesterday, but today I have another card made with one of the 5 embossing folders/die bundles that were in the SSS Let's Chill release. I have posted 2 of the 5 so far and tonight I have number 3. Then tomorrow I'll post number 4. Eventually I'll get to number 5 haha. These folders are all florals which are my favorite things to color as you probably know. I love coloring embossing folders with Copics as they just go on so smoothly and the raised edges makes it easy to stay in the lines. I love the way they look colored also! First, here are the two I have already done if... Continue reading

Tonight I have a card to share that I made with a couple of the new products from the Simon Says Stamp Let's Chill release. I used the new Sunflower Fields Embossing Folder and Die combo (although I didn't use the die) as well as the new Sketched Daisy Hot Foil Plate. Here is an image of both products: Here is my card: I started by embossing the Sunflower Fields embossing folder. I used Neenah 110 lb. white cardstock and lightly misted it with a Ranger Mini Mister and ran it through my die-cut machine 3 times. That's my method for getting the best image possible. I then colored it with Copic markers. I cut it to be a little... Continue reading

One of the stamp sets released in the latest SSS Let's Chill release is called Flowers For You. I made a card with it immediately because I love flowers and it's a beautiful floral set. My favorite thing to color is flowers with colored pencils. And this card has a lot of coloring on it! The Flowers For You stamp set is also sold with a set of matching dies or as a bundle as shown in this picture: And here is my card: I started by stamping ALL of the images in the stamp set with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I use a mix of Prismacolor, Luminance by Caran... Continue reading

It's day 1 of the SSS 2 day blog hop celebrating their "Let's Chill" release. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the new Butterfly Dreams stamp and die set. At the end of this post, I'll have all the details of the blog hop. Here is an image of the Butterfly Dreams stamp and die set: I've also used several other products from the new release in these cards including the Dandy Floral embossing folder and die, and the Doodle Daisy and Small Doodle Daisy Hot Foil Plates/Dies. Here are my five cards together and then each of my cards with directions below: CARD 1: I die-cut a slimline rectangle with the largest... Continue reading

Today is the Let's Chill release by Simon Says Stamp. I never get sick or bored with their releases as they are always exciting and amazing and so fun to work with! This release is true to it's name with lots of chill summery products! I have made quite a few cards with the new release, but I am only sharing one tonight. I'll be sharing more during Day 1 of the 2 day blog hop on this Friday and Saturday (June 17th and June 18th). My card today uses a couple new products including the Beachy Keen Stamp and Die Set, the Beach Party Umbrellas cling stamp, and the Reverse Chill Summer sentiment strips. Here are images: I really... Continue reading

Today is the release of the SSS July 2022 Card Kit called You Shine. It's full of summery citrus and the most beautiful papers by Simple Stories! I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you focusing on the stamp set which is also called You Shine and is sold alone or you can purchase a set of matching dies. Here is an image of the kit with the stamp set in it: And here are my five cards using all of the items in the kit: CARD 1: I love the little Flower Garden Cut/Emboss Folder in the kit which is also sold alone! I embossed two using white cardstock and then cut around the outside... Continue reading

Oh I'm so excited to share a "one stamp, five ways" post with you because it's been a long time! I have to be in the mood to make 5 cards with one stamp set and I have to have a stamp that makes me WANT to make 5 cards with it! I have been staring at this stamp set for a while, not sure how to use it. Well, since the Hello Gorgeous release. I finally got a chance to play with it and realized I really like it and it would be good for a 5 card post! The stamp set is called Sweet Birds. If you are like me, you may have not been able to visualize... Continue reading

One of the cling stamps released in the Hello Gorgeous release by Simon Says Stamp is called the Delicate Floral Mandala. I love it and have used it twice now. Here is an image: Here is the first card I made with it. I combined it with the Delicate Floral Frames stamp set. Here is an image and you can see the blog post HERE with directions: And here is the card I just made using the same Delicate Floral Mandala Cling Stamp: I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest Mama Elephant B2B Rectangle Die (which is a full A2 card size). I then attached a piece of Thermoweb Pixie Tape to the edge of the card.... Continue reading

I could NOT resist buying this darling stamp set by Mama Elephant called You Raise Me Up. I did resist buying the matching dies though as I thought I would use them for one layer cards (I always try to save on dies so I can afford more stamps!). Here is an image of this stamp set: And here is my card: I started by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock with the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies (largest one - I use it on all my slimline cards). I then stamped the shorter group of animals in the Mama Elephant You Raise Me Up stamp set on the bottom of the cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I stamped the... Continue reading

I've been digging up some of my Suzy's Doodles Watercolor Cards lately for a change of pace. I love that I have so many designs to choose from - I think there are 43 sets still available at Simon Says Stamp. Today I have a card using one of the watercolor cards in the Tropical Foliage set from last summer. Here is an image of the set: This set contains six designs with two prints of each design. They are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper which is really thick and works with ANY coloring medium. This is one of my favorite papers as it is pure white unlike most watercolor papers. Here is my card: This card was one of... Continue reading

I usually make cards with products by SSS, but sometimes I have to buy a set that I just love to create with. Mama Elephant often steals my heart with their cute critter stamps. I fell in love with this set called Celebration Hamsters a few months ago, but just finally got the time to play with them. Here is an image of the stamp set: Hamsters? Cake? Balloons? I'm in! Plus I never have enough birthday cards and this set will be loved by my grandkids! Here is my slimline card: First, I die-cut a slimline rectangle with white cardstock using the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies (a must I tell you!). Then I used 3 colors of Pawsitively... This card includes quite a few SSS products as shown in the title! I'm on a new roll making domed cards with the Nested Dome Dies. They have such a unique card shape and they fit in a standard A2 card envelope! I also am in love with the Intricate Floral Hot Foil Plate from the Yay You release. I actually did a "one stamp, five ways" post with it HERE and now I'm using it once again! And last, I used the Etched Butterfly die to finish off this card. Here is my card: Before I cut the Nested Dome dies apart, I die cut them together to create frames. I wish I had die-cut a few of these... Continue reading

As mentioned on my last two blog posts, I've been painting up a storm over here using my Suzy's Doodle watercolor cards at Simon Says Stamp. Today I will be sharing 3 rose cards using the Roses Are Red Watercolor Prints from the Love You release in late 2020. Here is an image of this set: This set was released once the change was made to have 6 designs, with 2 prints of each design for a total of 12 cards. I had moved to more realistic drawings rather than my whimsical "messy" drawings once I got an iPad, so this set is after that change. I loved painting them all so much the first time, that I wanted to... Continue reading

Way back in the summer of 2020, SSS released a set of my "Suzy's Doodles" watercolor cards called Under the Sea. The summer of 2020 will go down in history as the start of our house arrest period. At that time, they were part of the Sending Happiness release and I showed all 12 painted during the blog hop on this post here. This set was at teh end of the period where they contained 12 individual designs. I think this was one of my favorites. Here is an image: Like I mentioned in my blog post yesterday, I just spent a week at my mom's house so I took some of my favorite watercolor cards to paint/color. I colored... Continue reading

I illustrated "Suzy's Doodles" watercolor prints for Simon Says Stamp for about 4 or 5 years! I recently stopped since there have been over 50 sets produced now! If you aren't familiar with them, you can see all of my sets HERE in the SSS store. I think they have about 43 of the 50 or so sets still in their store. I just spent a week at my mom's house for her 90th birthday. I like to stay busy all the time, so I took some of my older watercolor cards with me to color. I also took my new Karin Decobrush Markers to try them out on these cards as I hadn't used them on them yet. FUN... Continue reading

I made a card with a darling little stamp set by Gina K. Design. No surprise that it is a flower stamp! She illustrates the most gorgeous flowers that I am so drawn too. I just purchased it, so I think it is fairly new set. It is called Perfect Posy and is a small stamp set, so the price is only $10.99. I was happy about the price! Here is an image: I made a card with two versions, so you get to vote on which one you like better as I can't decide! One includes a butterfly from the SSS Dancing Butterflies Hot Foil Plate from the SSS Yay You release and the other does not. I'm not... Continue reading

Today's card features several products from the Yay You release, primarily Hot Foiling products as I am on a roll lately! I used the Sketched Anemone Hot Foil Plate, the Intricate Floral Hot Foil Plate, the Dancing Butterfly Hot Foil Plate, and the Sketched Leafy Wreath Floral Plate all from the Yay You release. I then used the Sketched Leaf Hot Foil Plate from the Hello Gorgeous Release. Here is an image of the focal point of the card, the Sketched Anemone: And here is my card: I started by running the Intricate Floral Background Hot Foil Plate with white cardstock through my die-cut machine. This is a great way to get more use out of your hot foil plates... Continue reading

I'm out of town this week, so the blog posts have been sparse. But I am jumping on here to share one card. I used the SSS Oh Gnome stamp set that was released in the Yay You release. This is a small 3x4" stamp set that retails at just $7.99. Here is an image: Sometimes I really enjoy using small stamp sets like this one as the card design is fairly straightforward. I just stamp the images and put them on with little effort or thinking about how to arrange them! Here is my card: I stamped all of the images with black ink on white cardstock. I stamped the little birthday bird twice and the mushrooms and balloons... Continue reading

The Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit called Happiest Wishes is now available! As usual, I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the kit. I've focused primarily on the stamp set also called Happiest Wishes which is sold alone or with a set of matching dies as a bundle. Here is an image of the full kit: Some of the items in the kit can be purchased separately including the Slimline Sunburst stencil, the paper pad called Sunny Days by Paper Rose, the Big Hugs wafer dies, the Pawsitively Everything T-Square Ruler (I love this thing!), and the Ranger Stickles Starshine Glitter Gel. Here are my five cards: CARD 1: I used the Paper... Continue reading

It's day ONE of a TWO day blog hop celebrating the latest Simon Says Stamp release called YAY YOU! I had so much fun with this release as I got a Glimmer hot foiling machine for Christmas and I hadn't used it much yet. So I pulled it out and went to town using all of the new foil plates in this release and there are a lot of good ones! I ended up using the new Intricate Floral Background Foil Plate on 4 of the 5 cards I made for the banner above, so I realized that I should probably do a "one stamp, five ways" post using it. It's not a stamp, so I'm kind of breaking my... Continue reading

I'll be part of the first day, so come back and visit tomorrow! Today I have a card to share with you using the new Strawbeary stamp and matching dies. Today's "one stamp, five ways" was a really fun one. I worked with the cling background stamp called Flower Frenzy from the latest SSS Happy and Joyful release. It is a flat stamp which is always out of my comfort zone and it's a cling stamp primarily for backgrounds, also not my typical go to for these posts. The fun came from being challenged to think outside the box and come up with different ways to use it. And I succeeded and can't wait to show them all to you! Here is an image of the stamp: And here are my five PLUS cards (I mean, who can stop with just five?!?!?!!). For each of my five card techniques, I... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post using the SSS Time To Party stamp and matching die set from the Happy and Joyful release. I didn't use this stamp right away as I prefer stamps I can color in and this set is all flat stamps. BUT, when I DO use flat stamps, I always really enjoy them, so I should do it more often! This set is all about birthdays and has a lot of great sentiments in it. Here is an image of the stamp and die bundle: And just a small point to make - who ever has enough birthday cards? This set is so perfect for getting a bunch made with all of these... Continue reading
