Do you ever use your older holiday stamp sets? I often find myself only using the stamps that I have gotten this year and I hate that. I have so many cute sets from years past that I also want to use. But there is only so much time to make cards! So I am trying to mix some of my older products with some of my newer products. The card I have to share with you tonight uses a total of 3 stamp sets and 4 dies some new and some old. Maybe you will have some of these favorites in your stash as well! I made this slimline card with lots of different products as I stated above.... Continue reading

This is my second post for my new 3 card series called "one stamp, 3 coloring methods". I'm really into naming things as you can tell. I still have my "one stamp, 5 ways" series as well. I'll be posting one of each every single week. Because I'm an empty nester now and really motivated! Today I am using a new cling stamp from the SSS Make Merry release called Center Cut Fall Leaves. As soon as I saw this stamp, I knew I wanted to color it. It is whimsical and cool and has lots of little spots to color. It was better than a coloring book in my humble opinion! Plus I got to make my coloring into... Continue reading

Today I have a card to share with you that I absolutely LOVE! I had no idea how cool this stamp was until I used it and now I want to use it over and over! It is part of the Make Merry release from Simon Says Stamp called Center Cut Snowflake Cling Stamp and here is an image: Here is my card - it looks like it took a long time, but it really didn't. All the instructions are below and I promise I will start making videos soon. I just have to learn how - yikes! A bit intimidated right now! That is a lot of photos! I wanted you to be able to see the dimension and... Continue reading

Today is the release of the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit called Big Thanks and it's gorgeous! It combines my favorite Fall color theme: wine, teal, and orange. I used the 6" x 8" stamp also called Big Thanks in the kit for my "one stamp, five ways" post today and it is sold alone as well. I also used quite a bit of the paper as it is LOVELY! (And I never use that word haha). Here is an image of the kit: CARD 1: I die-cut the orange paper from the kit with the largest SSS A2 frame die (I use that die for almost every card I make now and sometimes I use the frame, but... I've been posting like crazy about the SSS new release called Make Merry. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out HERE. It is full of Fall products as well as many holiday products. I posted my newest set of watercolor cards all colored for the 2 day blog hop, a "one stamp, five ways" post using many of the new products, and a post using the Santa's Sleigh Ride Slider stamp. Tonight's post is a card using the Gift Boxes cling stamp and the new Tricolor Sentiment Strips. Here is an image of it: My card is really shimmery, so get ready. I had a great time dressing this stamp up for this card. I also have a... Continue reading

Today's post is about using the old with the new. This is something I always try to do when creating. I love pulling out a new stamp set, but finding some of my older products to use with it. Today, I'm going the opposite route. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using a stamp set from 1 or maybe even 2 years ago called Meowy Catmus. There are also dies for this stamp set, but they are not sold as a bundle. Here is an image: At the time it was released, I loved it so much that I planned on doing a post with it and I colored a bunch of images. But... Continue reading

Today is day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp new release called Make Merry blog hop. When the product was released yesterday, I posted this card made with the new Santa's Sleigh Ride Slider stamp set - you can see that blog post HERE: Today I want to share my new set of Suzy's Watercolor Cards with you called Sweather Weather. I basically drew sweater patterns for the backgrounds and then added some Fall designs to the middle of the cards. Here is an image. The set comes with 18 cards now (instead of 12), which has six designs with three of each design all printed on Ranger Watercolor paper. Here are my six colored cards and I'll give you... It is called MAKE MERRY and I am super excited to show you all of the cards I have made with the new release - a total of 13 so far! Today is the My Favorite Things October release day. You can see the entire release HERE. I always like to work with the Stacey Yacula stamp sets because I love her illustrating style so much! Today I have used her newest stamp set called Flurry of Love for a slim-line card. I also added some little penguins to it from the Warm Hugs and Frosty Kisses stamp set. And last, I added some snow from both that set and the Polar Opposites set. I love how they all go together so well! So let's get to that card, shall we? This is a one layer card - hard to tell with all that I added to it, but one layer... Continue reading

Today I have my first "one stamp, five ways" posts in quite a while! Now that STAMPtember is over, I'll have time for some of my regular posts. For this post, I am using a stamp set from the Let's Connect release called Unicorn Love. Here is an image of the 6" x 8" stamp set: There are no matching dies for this set at this time, but often Simon comes out with dies in another release. Here are my five cards! CARD 1: I made the background of this card with Nuvo Shimmer Powder. It's my favorite thing ever. I make a bunch of backgrounds at one time when I'm in the mood to do mindless easy painting. I... Today I have a new feature I'm introducing to you called "One Stamp, Three Coloring Options". Each week I'll be doing one of these blog posts showing how a stamp looks colored with three different methods. I also have my "One Stamp, Five Ways" series that I'll be blogging weekly as well. This new feature just gives me a chance to color more, which is my favorite thing to do! I also think it is interesting to see how a stamp looks with different coloring mediums. Today I am using the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers Cling Stamp. After I worked on this post, I noticed that it is currently out of stock on reserve. But it should be back... Continue reading

Hello all! What a crazy day today was in the political world. Every day is crazy lately, but the fact that our President has Covid 19, well, that beat all the craziness of the past few months. Anyway, on to business. SSS had a cute little gnome stamp set released as part of the Let's Connect release called Gnome School. I had never gotten a chance to use this set, so I decided to make a card with it today. Here is an image of the stamp set and the die which are sold as a bundle: I didn't have the dies for this set, so you will see that I did a lot of fussy cutting (which doesn't bother... Today is the LAST STAMPTEMBER COLLABORATION STAMP SET!!! Oh me oh my what will I do with my time now! This one is with Art Impressions who happen to be favorites of mine. I love all their funny girlfriend stamps. One time at CHA, they sold all of their stamps at 40% off on the last day of the show. I bought almost every one of the silly ladies and still have them! So this was a fun one to add to my collection! It is called COOLEST FRIEND and here is an image: I made one card with this stamp set and here it is: I stamped the image on Ranger Watercolor paper with SSS Intense Black Ink. I... Continue reading

Today's STAMPtember collaboration set is between SSS and Brutus Monroe. The stamp set is called Bounty of Wreathes and is also sold with a die Bounty of Wreathes stamps and dies. This is a 6" x 8" set and here is an image: And here is my card: I love that the set has three different wreaths for different occasions and greetings to go with each. I went with a Christmas theme for my card. I embossed the holiday wreath with Antique Gold Embossing Powder on white cardstock. I also embossed the greeting above it with the same embossing powder. I colored in the images with Copic Markers. It is so much easier to color when an image is embossed... Continue reading

Today's STAMPtember collaboration with Simon Says Stamp is The Greeting Farm. This month has given me such a great introduction to so many stamping companies that I had never used before. This is one of those examples. I wasn't sure about it when I first looked at it. But once I started coloring, I was a big fan. The big heads give you LOTS of hair to color and it was a challenge, but so much fun! The stamp set is called Got Cake and is also sold with a die Got Cake Stamp and Die bundle. Here is an image: Here is my card using these little cuties also called "Got Cake?": I spent WAY too much time on... Continue reading

Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Tim Holtz. If you like cats, you are going to be a fan. If you like CRAZY cats, you will really be a fan! The stamp set is called Snarky Christmas and here is an image: I love all the greetings on this set so it was hard to decide which one to use. I made a slim-line so I could use as many of the kitties as possible, but they are big, so I could only fit 3 of them! I started with a 3.5" x 8.5" piece of white cardstock. I stamped the three crazy cats with intense black ink. I had to go black on these as there are a... Continue reading

Today is the release of the SSS STAMPtember special edition card kit. This might be my favorite card kit ever from Simon. The stamp set is just SO ME - it is a 6x8 set called Freestyle Florals and can be purchased alone and there are also a set of matching dies! It's whimsical playful doodled looking flowers with the most awesome font for the sentiments and these great little flat strips to put behind them. Above are my five cards and here is an image of the kit: CARD 1: I used one of the patterned papers in the kit which are all really great subtle patterns perfect for cards (if you can call this subtle haha). I loved... Continue reading

Today's STAMPtember stamp set collaboration is between SSS and Kitchen Sink and is called Autumn Pumpkin stamp set. This is a biggie coming in at 6" x 8". Here is an image: The stamps are flat stamps that layer so as we used to call it in my Stampin' Up days, two-step stamping. But most of these are three-steps and the pumpkin is five-steps! So get out your colored inks for this one! There are instructions on the packaging for how to stamp these. And on the back of the packaging, it tells you that it is easier to start with the last stamp in the sequence and work backwards. I tried it both ways and found this way to... Continue reading

Today's collaboration stamp set for STAMPtember is between SSS and Whimsy Stamps. I love that this month is introducing me to a lot of stamp companies I wasn't familiar with. I'm a dog lover, so this one spoke to my heart! It is called Happy Pugmus stamp set and is also sold with a die Happy Pugmus stamp and die set. Here is an image of the set: I wanted to include ALL of the pugs on one card, so I decided to make a slim-line card. I will admit to you right now it is a little crazy. The pug images are already a bit wacky, but then I used really bright colors and made it even MORE over... Continue reading

Today's SSS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Newton's Nook. It is called Pocketful of Happy stamp set and Pocket Full of Happy stamp and die set. Here is an image: I made a card using this cute stamp set using my favorite "random stamping" technique. I used my Misti to arrange ALL of the stamps in this set over a card size piece of cardstock. I turned them this way and that and used the little paw print to make things fit. I always work from the inside out when doing this technique. It reminds me of doing a puzzle which is probably why I like doing it so much! I used SSS Intense Black Ink as i planned... Continue reading

Today's stamp set is a collaboration between SSS and Pinkfresh Studio. They always have gorgeous florals, so I knew I would love this one! The stamp set is called Celebrate Our Differences and it is also sold with dies Celebrate Our Differences with dies. Here is an image: I was so disappointed when this stamp came in the mail as it was all flat stamps with nothing to color! I don't use those type of stamps ever as my favorite part of making cards is the coloring. But once I pulled out my colored inks (which never get used) and started creating, I loved the process and especially LOVED the result! I'm now a fan of flat stamps and ink!... Continue reading

Today's SSS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Hero Arts called Park Bench. Here is an image: I couldn't wait to create a little scene with these cute images. I stamped the images with MFT Natural Ink as a one layer card. After I stamped it, I realized it would look cute in the shape of an oval, so I die-cut it using the new SSS Nested Oval Dies. I am really enjoying mixing Copics with colored pencils lately. I used Copics for the background and colored pencils for all of the stamped images. I think they blend really nicely together! I tried mounting it on LOTS of different patterned papers and cardstock colors and many looked good. So then... Continue reading

Today there are two different STAMPtember collaboration sets. This set is between SSS and Ink Blot. It's a darling little camping set called Life is an Adventure and Life is an Adventure stamp and die. Here is an image: I couldn't wait to color in those darling little people, so I pulled out my colored pencils for this one! I stamped the background stamps on the card front first with MFT Natural Ink. I colored in the background with Copic Markers and then used colored pencils to add some shadows on the ground. I stamped the two little people on white cardstock with the same ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I fussy cut them out (oh those... Continue reading

Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is between SSS and Paper Rose Studio. This was a stamp company I was not familiar with, but this stamp set was one of my very favorites of all of the collaboration stamp sets. It is so beautiful! It is called Long Stem Flowers stamp set and Long Stem Flowers stamp and die set and here is an image: I made one card with these gorgeous blooms. I made it a slim-line so I could fit almost all of the flowers on it. I started by stamping the flowers and leaves (two sets of the leaves) on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored them in with colored pencils. Usually I keep a flower... Continue reading

Instead of a collaboration stamp set today, SSS is releasing a special edition Halloween kit called Happy Haunting. It is chock full of all kinds of cool supplies! Here is a photo of the kit: I have three cards to share with you focusing on the 6x8" stamp set also called Happy Haunting which is sold alone. The kit arrived today at 11:00 am (it was overnighted last minute waiting for some supplies to arrive). I wanted to do a "one stamp, five ways" post, but I only got 3 cards made. But oh the mess I made! In my attempt to try and clean up, I spilled my white paint all over the carpet and other items. It wasn't... Continue reading
