Today the December card kit called Gnome For The Holidays was released from Simon Says Stamp. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today using the kit. I try to always focus on the stamp set, but I did also use the Lil Gnome die and the Christmas Gnome Home stencil in the kit. I didn't use any of the papers though as I went with a very different color theme (kept with my preference of bright colors). Here is an image of the kit: The stamp set is also called Gnome For the Holidays and it is sold alone if you want to purchase it by itself. The Lil Gnome die is sold alone... Continue reading

Art Impressions won my heart at what used to be called CHA a few years ago. They have a line of what I fondly call my fat lady stamps. They are the cutest things in the world and that year, I bought about 12 sets of them when they discounted them at the end of the show. Ever since I've been a big fan of their unique images. Today they came out with an exclusive stamp set through Simon Says Stamp called the Holiday Flip Card Set. Here is an image of the stamps: They also have a die that coordinates with it (to create the flip) called the Flip Card Die. I have two cards to share with you... Continue reading

Hi friends. Today is the My Favorite Things release for November. I get to work with the Stacey Yacula sets before the release so I can show them to you at release time. Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the new Cozy Companions set. Here is an image: This is a little different than most of her sets have been and although I absolutely LOVE it, I had a little bit of a hard time using it in 5 different ways. I couldn't do a "random stamping" technique as the images are too big, so that one was out. I didn't want to emboss the images as they don't look like they... Continue reading

Hello friends! Today is the first day of a 2 day blog hop for Pretty Pink Posh (October 16th and 17th). I hope you are hopping along and enjoying all the inspiration using the newest PPP release for the holidays! I have three cards to share with you today. The blog hop details are at the end of this post. CARD 1: This is a slim-line card and one of my favorite sizes when you want to fit a lot of "critters" on one card to build a scene. I start with a piece of 8.5x11" cardstock. I cut a piece that is 7" wide (by the 8.5" width of the paper). I cut the remaining piece to be 3.5"... Continue reading

This is my monthly Simon Says Stamp card kit post, but it isn't a "one stamp, five ways" post like usual. That is because the card kit comes with a FULL set of my watercolor cards, so I decided to focus on them instead of the stamp set. But that stamp set is so cute, I'll end up doing another post using it I'm sure! Here is a photo of the November kit called Woodland Whimsy: So not only are you getting the usual kit contents (pretty paper, stamp set, etc...), but you are also getting a full set of my watercolor cards as well as a set of watercolors and brushes to use on them. And if you aren't... Continue reading

Today is the My Favorite Things new product release. I am using the newest Stacey Yacula stamp and die set called Merry Wishes. It is darling as are all her stamp sets which is why I always work with them! Here is an image of the stamp: Here are my two cards using this Merry Wishes stamp set and Merry Wishes dies. CARD 1: This card uses my favorite technique that I call "random stamping". I stamped all of the images on a white cardstock rectangle with MFT Natural Ink (my favorite ink for no-line stamping). I used a Misti to arrange the images around each other to fit like a puzzle. This is my favorite part of random stamping... Continue reading

During STAMPtember, Simon Says Stamp collaborates with many stamp companies to bring a stamp set together sold by Simon. This month the stamp set with Pretty Pink Posh is called Topiary and I got a chance to work with it ahead of time. I have two cards to show you that I made with it. They are almost exactly the same, but they show how the stamp set can be used in two different ways to get the same result. Let's get started! Here is an image of the stamp set. Take note that the trees come with both flat stamps you can ink and with outline stamps you can color. This also allows for two-step stamping which means layering... Continue reading

Today's "one stamp, five ways" post uses the BRAND NEW STAMPtember Special Edition Birthday Card Kit called Sweet Birthday. Here is an image of the kit: As usual, I have focused primarily on the stamp set in this kit called Sweet Birthday which is sold alone or with a set of dies bundled together. You can also buy the dies alone if you want to add them to your kit - I wish I had had them!). Here is an image of the stamp set: CARD 1: I used the MFT A2 Frame dies for the frame on this card. I used yellow cardstock for the frame piece and then one of the patterned papers in the Honeybee 6x6 paper... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the Simon Says Stamp called Fabulous Florals. It was in the STAMPtember release that just happened! There is also another stamps set I love in this release that goes well with this one called Floral Hearts. I decided to use all of the sentiments in this set on my cards so you could see that one also used as a "one stamp, five ways"! (Note: I did use a die for one of the card sentiments). Here is an image of both stamp sets: See how well they look together? Since I made the post about the first one, Fabulous Florals, I resisted the urge to... Continue reading

Today is the release of Simon Says Stamp's special edition Halloween kit called Spook Up Some Fun (as part of their STAMPtember celebration). This kit is FULL of all things Halloween with so many options for making treat bags and tags and cards and anything else you can imagine. I kept my creations focused on the stamp set and made just cards to share with you today (one stamp, five ways!)... Here is an image of the kit: You can purchase the stamp set Spook Up The Fun by itself. I'm not much of a HW person, but I really like this stamp set as it's not creepy or scary, but very cute! Here are my five cards: CARD 1:... Continue reading

The Hello Bluebird new Fall release is live as of yesterday, so you can now shop to your heart's content at the Hello Bluebird store. The products should be available at Simon Says Stamp soon. All of the new products are listed in my supply list at the end of this post linked to the HB store. I have five cards to share with you that have all been posted on IG over the past few days. Card 1: This is my typical random stamping background. I use my Misti to do this and used MFT Natural Ink as it is my favorite for no-line stamping. I used the darling new Fall Banner Buddies stamp set since it has all... Continue reading

Simon Says Stamp just released their October Card Kit called Thankful Flowers. I have 5 cards to share with you today. This is a "one stamp, five ways" post, so I primarily focus on the stamp set in the kit (although I did use some of the other supplies in it, just not the papers). Here is an image of the full card kit: The stamp set is also called Thankful Flowers and it is sold alone as well. There is also a die for the stamp set so you can buy it alone HERE or together as a set HERE. Last, the THANKS die is sold alone as well which I used on two of my cards below. Here... Hello friends! I haven't been here much over the past month! I was in Hawaii for almost two weeks and now I am taking my daughter to school in Utah for a week, so that's 3 weeks I'll be gone in August, thus the only 2 blog posts! I will be back to your regularly scheduled program in September! In fact, there will be a Hello Bluebird release in early September AND it is STAMPtember for Simon Says Stamp, so I will have LOTS of posts and come back with a BANG! Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post that is really a "one stamp, six ways" post. I (((accidentally))) made six cards by counting wrong - haha.... Continue reading

Today is the first day of a two day blog hop celebrating the PPP new Fall product release. I have a blog post from the day the release went live HERE if you want to check out my other cards using the new line. Today I have three new cards to share with you! CARD1: I always make a bunch of backgrounds ahead of time, so I had this orange one just waiting to be used. It was made with Yupo paper and alcohol ink. I used the Storybook 3 die for this white part, but I cut out the lines that go between. So technically I could have used any of the Storybook dies to do this. It just... Continue reading

Today (as of this minute on Friday, July 26th at 7:00 pst), Hello Bluebird released 6 new background stamps and also restocked the others that have been out of stock for some time. So they had a Background Bash this week with the design team showing off all of the new background stamps on Instagram. I wanted to show you the two cards I posted with directions as well as show you all of the background stamps stamped and colored. So let's get this party started! First, here are the six background stamps in action with directions on how I made each: This one is called Old Oak. It's perfect for all those critter stamps and fall backgrounds. I embossed... Today is the first day of a 2 day blog hop showcasing the new SSS release called Believe In You. I have a new set of watercolor cards in this release called Suzy's Succulents. Here is an image: Today I'll be showing you all 12 of these cards all colored and made into cards (like I do on every new product blog post!). I also had two stamp sets that are part of this release - the new Seahorse Background stamp and the Never Quit Swimming stamp set. It also has a 6x8" stamp set that I'll be focusing on that has matching dies and they can be purchased together. Today's "one stamp, five ways" post is using the brand new MFT Stacey Yacula stamp set called Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes. As usual, I love her darling illustrations and this is another perfect one for making lots of sweet cards! You can see the entire MFT New Release HERE. Here is an image of the stamp set: And here are my five cards! CARD 1: This set is just so cute that it was hard to not use all the images on each card! But for this one, I wanted to just let that darling penguin with the banner stand alone. So I used him with just the banner. And doesn't he look so cute as the star of the... Continue reading

Today (((right now at 7:00 pm pst))) the Hello Bluebird new release is LIVE! This means you can now go to the HB website and purchase all of the cute products I'll be using in this post! I love their stamps (dare I say they are my favorite designs in the industry - just so so me!). So rather than purchase every product they made, I joined the DT so I get them for free! That also gives me the excuse to spend way too much of my time coloring their cute images. Here is an example of my obsession: There are six new stamp sets in this release and I have cards made with each one (except Strawberry Jam),... Continue reading

Hi friends! Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the SSS July Card Kit called Bee Yourself. Here is an image of the kit: As usual, I focus on the stamp set in the kit (thus the title of the post) so most of my cards are using that over some of the other options in the kit. The stamp set is sold alone and is also called Bee Yourself (I would want this stamp set even if I didn't want the entire kit). It contains a glue sponge and foil as well as 3 laser printed cards you can use on your cards. I will confess that I did (((attempt))) to use... Continue reading
