I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today using a 4x6 stamp set by SSS called Geo Flower Builder from their Beautiful Days release. This set has all flat shapes, so no coloring, but it IS flowers, so there is that. I just don't usually use flat stamps if I have a choice haha. But I really wanted to challenge myself with this set as I don't usually do graphic cards either. I think I ended up making non-graphic cards with it though! Here is an image of the stamp set which also comes as a bundle with a set of matching dies: And here are my 5 cards: My first card is the one... Continue reading

I purchased this MFT Bunny Bouquet stamp set after their release a couple of months ago and had been wanting to use it. I finally got a chance and I combined it with one of my new favorite Simon Says Stamp sets from their Dear Friends release called Elegantly Modern Greetings. Here is an image of the stamp set: And here is my card: I stamped the image from the Bunny Bouquet stamp set on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored it in with colored pencils. Since the details are tiny, I preferred to just use pencils on it. I used a white Uniball for details. I fussy cut it out as I didn't have the matching dies,... Continue reading

Altenew came out with a peony stamp set recently (during this peony crazy that seems to be going on lately) that is huge! I think it was so smart to make such a big stamp set as it can be used in so many different ways. You could make wall art, larger cards, and you can use different portions of the flowers on your cards providing variety of the design. I just love this 8.5" x 11" stamp set called Blooming Peonies. There is also a set of Billowing Peonies Stencils and Billowing Peonies Dies. I like to color and didn't feel the need to have the dies, so I just bought the stamp. Here is an image of the... Wow, I feel like I haven't posted a "one stamp, five ways" post in a long time! I finally got one done yay! I used the new Caring Thoughts stamp set and matching dies from the SSS Dear Friends release because it is just so darling. I saw lots of possibilities in all of the images in the set and all of the different greetings too. Here is an image of the bundle: Here are my five cards: I started by making this slimline card which was sent in for the release banner photography. It is right under the new release name haha. I think I used every stamp in the Caring Thoughts stamp set on it except the bear!... Continue reading

Today I made my second card using the Simon Says Stamp Peony Cling Stamp from the Dear Friends release. I guess you could say I like it. I might even make more! I also used the Elegantly Modern Greetings stamp and die set from the release. Here is my first card made with the Peony Cling Stamp that I shared during the Dear Friends blog hop (post is here): And here is the card I made today. Unfortunately the colors are EXACTLY the same! I guess I only changed the coloring method! haha I stamped the Peony Cling Stamp with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink on a piece of white cardstock. I then colored it with both Copic Markers and Colored... Continue reading

Today is the first day of the Simon Says Stamp two day blog hop celebrating the Dear Friends release. Yesterday I blogged a slimline card using the Howdy stamp and die. You can see that blog post HERE and here is an image of the card: Today I have a card to share with you using the Peony Background cling stamp. You might have seen this card in the banner at the top of this post! I started by embossing the Peony cling stamp with white embossing powder on a piece of Arches watercolor paper. I then painted it with Karin Brushmarkers. I love these so much as the colors are so intense and I can't get that from any... Continue reading

Today is the Simon Says Stamp May, 2023 release called "Dear Friends". The banner above shows you a lot of the products in action! You can visit the Dear Friends Gallery at any time to see all of the cards created by the design team in one place with links to their blogs! There will be a two day blog hop to celebrate this release on Saturday, May 20th and Sunday, May 21st. I made a card using the Howdy stamp set and matching sets of dies. It is also sold as a bundle as you can see here: And here is my slimline card. Because when there is a scene to be created, it's always a slimline for me!... Continue reading

I purchased a few stamp sets when I was at the Simon Says Stamp Create event last month. Two of them are from Honeybee Stamps and are of course florals. Today I have a card to share with you using the Daisy Layers Bouquet Stamp Set. I realized just now that they have matching dies that are the same price (around) as the stamp set, so I wish I had bought them. They have all of the cute sentiment dies in the set which I love. They also have a matching stencil. Here is an image of the stamp set: And here is my card: I started by stamping the large daisy bouquet on a piece of A2 sized cardstock... Continue reading

Today is MOTHER'S DAY! Happy Mother's day to all of my blog reading friends. I don't know who you are, but I hope someone reads my posts! I don't particularly LIKE this holiday as I feel like it brings up more hard to process feelings than happy feelings in most. It also somehow makes me/maybe many feel inadequate. And also there are the "expectations" of what you want a day of appreciation for all of the hard work you do all year to be like and that never quite turns out the way you want. But anyway, it's a day to celebrate ALL women, so let's go with it and be happy!!! Now on to the purpose of this post... Continue reading

A couple of days ago I posted a card using the MFT In My Prayers stamp set from their last release. Today I have a card to share using an MFT stamp set from the brand new release they had a couple days ago. The stamp set is by Stacey Yacula and is called Peaceful Birds. There is also a set of Peaceful Birds matching dies which I was very happy to have. Here is an image of the stamp set: And here is my slimline card: The first thing I did was stamp all of the images in the Peaceful Birds stamp set on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I stamped two of each of the three birds... Continue reading

As soon as I saw this stamp set in the last (April 2023) MFT release, I knew I had to have it. I loved teaching my kids to pray kneeling at their beds each night. And I love praying with my grandkids now. AND, the stamp has a little girl and a little boy that look just like my two grandkids that I pray with, so perfection! The stamp set is called In My Prayers and it has a set of In My Prayers matching dies. I bought the dies this time as I knew I would use this set a lot. Here is an image: And here is my card: I started by stamping all of the images in... Continue reading

I pulled out a stamp set I haven't had a chance to use yet from the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember release last year called Printmaking Birds. It is a 6x8" stamp set with a matching set of dies for the birds. Here is an image of the bundle: And here is my card. I didn't use the dies, just the stamp set in my favorite random stamping method. I started the card by stamping the birds multiple times on a piece of white cardstock. The birds are all together on one stamp, so I just stamped it right next to each other each time. I think I ended up stamping it four times. I used Intense Black Ink. I colored... Continue reading

I recently purchased the Tim Holtz Floral Trims stamp set at Simon Says Stamp. I used one of the two borders in the stamp set on this blog post here. Today I am using the second of the floral trims on a new card. Here is an image of the stamp set: And here is an image of my first card: And here is my new card: As I already said, I used the second row of flowers in the Floral Trims stamp set for this card. The first time, I stamped it twice to make it go across the entire slimline card. This time I stamped it just once on an A2 size piece of white cardstock going vertical.... Continue reading

While I was at the Simon Says Stamp event called Create, I had a table of my Suzy's Watercolor Cards for people to paint. We used watercolor makers and the new Tim Holtz watercolor pencils. I had some, but hadn't ever used them. I found this true of most of the people there that were using them. No one knew how to use them or had even tried them out. So we all learned together and now I love them. Today I painted one of my Suzy's Spring Flower watercolor cards with them to show you and give you some tips. Here is the set of cards and they are still available at Simon. This has always been one of... Continue reading

A few months ago, I bought a new Clearly Besotted stamp set from Simon Says Stamp that I never got a chance to use. So now it isn't brand new anymore, but it is still very cute! it is called Blooming Lily Plushies. They may have had matching dies at one time, but I don't see any now on the SSS website. Here is an image of the cute stamp set: Here is my card using ALL of the images in the stamp set: I stamped ALL of the images in the stamp set which include the corner lily floral grouping and the three plushies each holding a lily. I used Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then colored... Continue reading

I recently bought just ONE Mama Elephant stamp set, which was very hard to do. I love all of their stamps. If I could only pick one, it had to be a floral. Of course! And I saved on the dies by doing all the fussy cutting myself! It is called More Blooms and I bought it at Simon Says Stamp. Here is an image: And by the way - if you haven't been to Simon Says Stamp lately, go visit! They have completely redone their website and it's amazing! Here is my slimline card: I stamped all of the flowers in the More Blooms stamp set and some twice with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then colored... Continue reading

I made a second card today with the SSS Mother's Day Bouquet stamp set from the Just For You release. I guess I love this stamp set! It is a small set sold with a set of matching dies - here is an image of the bundle: Here is the first card I made with it and a link to the blog post is here. And here is my new card which has a totally different feel showing the versatility of the set: I stamped the image with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I colored it in with colored pencils. I used a silver Uniball gel pen over the tie. I then die-cut it out with the matching die.... Continue reading

I have recently fallen in love with Gina K. Designs stamps. I discovered she also has LOTS of florals. I saw her at the SSS Create event and it was so funny seeing everyone standing in line for her make in take - the crowd was enormous. She came out and talked to everyone in line for a while and took lots of pics with people. I felt like it was a red-carpet moment haha. Anyway, I digress. Today I have a card to share that uses one of my brand new purchases called the Floral Delight Background Stamp. Here is an image: I liked this stamp so much that I accidentally bought two of them - one from SSS... Continue reading

I made a second card with the SSS Mother's Day Dogwood stamp set from the Beautiful Days release because I love it so much! Here is an image of the stamp and die bundle: And here is my new card: This card only uses the one floral bunch in the stamp set. I used the heart floral wreath on my last card. I stamped the floral branch twice with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I colored them in with just colored pencils this time. I like to go back over the lines with a black fine tip marker as pencils tend to cover the lines. I die-cut a smaller rectangle from the SSS Basic Rectangle Dies from the Pastel... Continue reading

Tim Holtz just released some new cling stamps that are right up my alley - flowers! I saw this one called Floral Trims and I knew it was calling my name! I decided to try it out on a slimline card and was so happy that the pattern matches up so you can make it longer than the stamp! Tim Holtz is always a hero in my book (probably every crafter's book!). Here is my slimline card: I die-cut a rectangle using the SSS Nested Slimline rectangle dies from white cardstock. I then stamped one of the two images in the Floral Trims stamp set with black ink on the left side of the rectangle. I moved it over and... Continue reading

Today I have a card to share with you using a pretty Pink Fresh flower stamp called Today Is Special. I only used the stamp set, but there is also a Today Is Special Stencil and a Today is Special Die. Here is an image of the stamp set: And here is my card: This is another very basic card with mostly just coloring! I stamped the Today is Special stamp set with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then colored in the images with colored pencils. No Copics this time! I die-cut this piece with the second largest die in the SSS Basic Rectangle die set. I then mounted it on Bubblegum Blush cardstock (I love this bright... Continue reading

Today is the release of the Simon Says Stamp May, 2023 Card Kit which is called "Best Year Yet". It is full of birthday card making goodies and who doesn't need more birthday cards! Here is an image of the kit in it's entirety: My "one stamp, five ways" focuses on the stamp, but also uses the AMAZING Crafter's Companion Glitter Shades Gel Pens in the kit on almost all of my projects. I've used a lot of glitter pens and these are the best as the flow never stops! I used them so much, my grandkids used them a lot, my daughter colored with them, and they just keep flowing! I also love and used the Large Fancy Happy... Continue reading

Today I have a card to share with you using the Yarn Love stamp set. Here is an image of the bundle: I'm not a knitter, but I do love this set as it has so many possibilities.
