Here I am again with another card using new products from the Hello Beautiful release! Today I am using the Our Home stamp set and the CZ Welcome Die together. Below is an image of the stamp set which also comes with a set of dies or as a bundle. I didn't have the dies so I made a slimline card that is one layer (no fussing cutting yay!). And here is my card: I cut a piece of white cardstock to be 3.5" x 8.5". I then stamped al of the images from the stamp set with Intense Black Ink to create a scene. I love how there are hill stamps and the little trees are adorable! I purposely... Continue reading

I'm back again with another card using a stamp set from the SSS new Hello Beautiful release. If you missed the blog hop day 1, you can see my post HERE. I've already done two "one stamp, five ways" posts and I'll have my new set of Suzy's Easter Pal watercolor cards on the SSS blog on February 28th. So that means the card I am sharing today is my 17th card with the new release - wow haha! Today I am using the stamp set called Sketch Iris. There are matching dies and a bundle also, but I only used the stamp set for this card. Here is an image of it: And here is my one layer card:... Continue reading

Today is the first day of the 2 day blog hop for Simon Says Stamp's new release called Hello Beautiful. I have much to share today, so let's get to it! I'll give you all the details of the blog hop and who to hop to next at the bottom of this post. First off, I have a new set of watercolor cards in this release called Suzy's Easter Pals. Here is an image: There are 6 designs with 2 of each design all printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I'm a guest on the Simon Says Stamp blog on February 28th where I will be showing you all of the colored cards and giving you lots of tips and techniques... Continue reading

Today is the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful release - February 24th at 12:00 am EST. There are so many cute new stamp sets to choose from for a "one stamp, five ways" post. Of course I went with the Easter set since they are always my favorite! It is a 6" x 8" stamp set called Bunny Blessings and it also has matching dies or you can buy it as a bundle. Here is an image of the set: Here are my 5 cards. I made 3 regular sized cards, 1 slim-line card, and 1 mini-slim-line card. CARD 1: I actually used patterned paper for this card and one other. I don't usually use paper except on cards using... Continue reading

Last year, SSS released a 6" x 8" stamp set that is so darling, but I never got a chance to work with it. It is called Bunny Butt Peekaboo. I love bunnies and I really love butts, so I knew this would be a fun one to color! I have a card to share with you using this darling Easter stamp set and matching die. Here is an image: Here is my card: I wanted to do a "random stamping" background for this card using all the cute eggs, jelly beans, and flowers in the stamp set. I stamped them on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored them all in with colored pencils. Next, I stamped the... Continue reading

Today I have one of my "one stamp, three coloring methods" posts to share with you. I was "dying" to color the eggs in the Doodle Egg background stamp that was released last Spring. I used it for this post so I could have an excuse to color it 3 times! Here is an image of the stamp: I used my usual 3 different coloring methods including colored pencils, Copic markers, and Karin Brushmarkers. Here is an image of the 3 colored pieces together: And here are the 3 colored images made into cards with individual pictures and directions for each. CARD 1: COLORED PENCILS I stamped the Doodled Egg Background stamp with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I... Continue reading

I don't know if I am rushing things by making Easter cards already (in late February). I prefer Spring colors and illustrations more than any other season/holiday though, so I guess you should be glad I didn't start Easter cards in December! Last Easter, I illustrated a stamp set called Hello Easter that had some of my favorite designs from some of my Spring watercolor cards in it. Here is an image of the Hello Easter 6x8" stamp set: It is sold as a bundle as shown above or you can buy just the stamp set. Here is my mini slimline card: Simon Says Stamp came out with some mini slim-line envelopes in the last release. They are going to... Continue reading

Hello friends! Today I have a couple cards to share with you using products from the new MFT release for March. There are so many cute products in this release, that it was hard to decide which ones to use for this post today! I ended up making a card with the Birdie Brown Mice Day to Celebrate and the Wild Poppies stamp set. First I have a slim-line card to share using Birdie Brown's latest - Mice Day to Celebrate. This set is so darling and I love birthday stamps as I know I will use them again and again. I went with a yellow, blue, and red color scheme just because the primary colors seem very birthday to... I wanted to color this stamp last year when it was released, but I never got a chance. It's called Tulip Background and it is very detailed. Here is an image: Here is my the card I made with my colored image: I started by stamping the Tulip Background stamp with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I used my colored pencils to color it. I have a combination of Prismacolors, Polychromos by Faber Castelle, and Luminance and Pablos by Caran d'Ache. I mix them all up together by color in baggies. My favorites are the Polychromos and Pablos. My least favorite are the Prismacolors as they are so waxy. BUT, I love using the white Prismacolor over other colors to... Continue reading

The Simon Says Stamp March 2021 Card Kit was released today called Spring Windows. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the entire kit, but also focusing on the Spring Windows 6x8 stamp set. It is also sold as a bundle with the dies or you can purchase the dies by themselves. Here is an image of the kit: As usual with my kit posts, I try to focus on the stamp set in the kit, but I also used many of the other elements in the kit for my 5 cards, especially those cool Ranger Distress Markers. I've never purchased them before because I had a couple and I didn't feel like the... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using a stamp set from the Love You, Too release called Wonderful Banner. Here is an image of the stamp and die bundle: CARD 1: I stamped the Wonderful Banner stamp on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored it in with Copic markers. I also colored around the image with light aqua Copics. I stamped the You Are and Wonderful on the banner with black ink. I used the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies for the frames around the image. I used the thin white frame and then the negative space around it for the two colored frames. That's the great thing about that die... Continue reading

I have only used a Gina K. Designs stamp set once before, but when I saw this one at Simon Says Stamp, I had to buy it to color it. I love coloring floral arrangements and poppies are so pretty! Here is an image of the stamp which is called Timeless Poppies and is 6"x8": Of course I used colored pencils because that's what I always do on flowers! Here is the image colored before I made it into a card: I first stamped the image on a standard size card front, but this cut off the top leaves and bottom leaves. I decided to stamp it again full size so I could decide how to crop it after I... Continue reading

Hey peeps! I have never had one person on my blog or on IG tell me that they like my posts where I show three ways of coloring one stamp. But I continue to do it. Why? Because it's fun! haha So today I have another "one stamp, three coloring methods" to share using the Simon Says Stamp Lantern Pattern Cling Stamp that was in the Stamptember release last year. Here is an image of it: I didn't purchase this stamp set when it came out as I wasn't sure I loved it enough! But I kept looking at it and decided I did like it and wanted to try and color it. Once I actually stamped it and started... Continue reading

I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today using a new stamp set from the Love You, Too release called Magnolia Cottage. Here is an image: Card 1: It's always so hard for me to tell you what patterned paper I used as I have a huge stack of 6x6 papers from previous card kits and pads I've purchased. I tend to remove them all and organize by color, so no idea where they come from! I think this one might have been in a Heidi Swapp pad. I die-cut it with the largest frame in the SSS A2 Thin Frame Die. I attached it to a white card base. I stamped all of the... Continue reading

Today I have a card to share with you using a stamp set by Simon Says Stamp from their Lucky To Know You release. You might have noticed that I like to use older sets as well as current sets (especially together) because I for one like to get use out of ALL of my stamps. This beautiful stamp set called Botanical Heart has a matching set of dies (which I don't have) or can be purchased together as a bundle. Here is a photo of the bundle: Because I love to color intricate details and because flowers are my favorite type of stamp, I really loved this one. In fact, I just bought it almost a year after it... Continue reading

Today I have a really fun card to share with you. In fact, I think this might be my favorite card I've ever made! That's probably because it is full of sweets which are my life. Making it has gotten me in a serious donut craving mood though. I will have them before this weekend is over. Or for my birthday DINNER next Friday! Here is an image of the stamp set that has my sweet tooth all worked up. I had to buy this one as soon as I saw it! This darling stamp set is by Mama Elephant and it is called MILKSHAKE. You can also buy it as a bundle with the dies which is what I... Continue reading

I think these "one stamp, three coloring methods" posts are my favorite to do. I love coloring one stamp 3 ways probably because I just love to color! I try to use stamps that have a lot of area to color and I usually end up using cling stamps. Today I picked the Radiating Hearts Cling stamp from the Love You, Too release from Simon Says Stamp. Here is an image of the stamp: I stamped one with black ink and colored with Copics, a second I stamped with MFT Natural Ink and colored with no-lines using colored pencils, and on the third, I embossed the stamp with white embossing powder and colored with Karin Brushmarkers. Here is an image... Continue reading

If you purchased $100 from the Simon Says Stamp Love You, Too release, you received a free stamp set called Faraway Hugs. This stamp set wasn't in my box of sets to create with so I wanted it so bad I immediately requested it to be sent to me so I could do a "one stamp, five ways" post with it. It is SO me. It's cute and whimsical and has lots of areas to color in each stamp. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Here is an image of the stamp: Here are my 5 cards using this stamp set. It also has a set of dies to go with it, but unfortunately I didn't have... Continue reading

MFT had a release a few days ago and I wasn't able to participate in it as I usually do. I made a card today using the new Birdie Brown stamp set called Hug It Out. It is so adorable! Here is an image of the 6" x 8" stamp: And here is my slimline card I made using it! I stamped ALL of the images in the Hug It Out stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I have the matching dies, so I knew I would die-cut them all out rather than making a one layer card. I colored all of them in with colored pencils. They were so fun to color as they are just... Today I'm back with a "one stamp, 3 coloring methods" post for the first time in a while! I saw this cling stamp set called Heart Garden from the Love You, Too release and had to use it more than once (but didn't want to use it 5 times haha). So I thought I would try the 3 different coloring methods with it. Here is an image of the cling stamp: I colored it with Copic Markers, colored pencils, and painted it with Daniel Smith watercolors. (I think Karin Brushmarkers would have been better as they are more vibrant). Here is an image of the three colored pieces before I made them into cards. One is a standard size card,... One of the things I loved the most about the Love You, Too release was all the flower stamp sets. I'm in process of using all of them because we all know flowers are my downfall. Love them all! The set I used for today's card is called Sweet Friend. Here is the image of the stamp and the die which are sold together or alone: Not only do I love flowers, I especially love roses. Here is my card: I first stamped the roses and leaves on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I also stamped the larger rose on masking paper. I masked it when stamping the smaller rose twice as they were slightly overlapping. I also stamped... Continue reading

After a 2 day blog hop celebrating the Love You release and the Love You, Too release, you are probably all burnt out on inspiration using the new products! I have one more card to share with you using the new 6x8" stamp set called Best Friend Ever. It also has a set of dies and is sold together with the dies. Here is an image: And here is my card using it. I will also have a "one stamp, five ways" post using this set on the SSS Blog on January 30th! I stamped the rose flower stamp on the left first with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I then stamped it on masking paper and cut out... Continue reading

You can start the blog hop on either day on the SSS blog HERE. I have a new set of watercolor cards in the Love You, Too release to share with you called Pet Friends. I've painted four of these and made them into cards to share with you. They are all printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper and you can use any coloring medium on the paper. I mix them all on each card! There are 12 cards with 2 of each design. I love coloring these with my 5 year... Continue reading

Today is the release of the SSS February 2021 Card Kit called Love You Beary Much. It's all about LOVE and perfect for creating Valentine's Day cards. Here is an image of the kit: The 6" x 8" stamp set is sold alone and is also called Love You Beary Much. You can buy dies to go with it as well or buy it as a bundle. There is a small 3" x 4" stamp set in the kit called Sweet Truffles. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today, but I might have altered the rules a little. It is more of a "one kit, five ways" post although I did focus on the... Continue reading
