Hello again two days in a row! I'm actually here with my second "one stamp, five ways" post in a week - don't get used to this hahaha. For today's post I'm using the SSS December Card Kit called Holiday Cheer. I usually focus on the stamp when doing kit posts so that my title actually applies (one stamp, five ways). But this kit has two of my watercolor cards in it, so they are part of my five cards and only 3 focus on using the stamp. Forgive me please! I've always been a rule breaker... You can purchase the little candy cane die I use on one of my cards separately as well as the stamp set separately.... Continue reading

Today I finally have a new "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you - these take a bit more time than my usual posts, so when I'm busy I don't get them done very often! The reason I did one today is I got really lucky and MFT sent me some of their new release which goes live and is ready for purchase on September 13th at 8:00 am pst. I was so excited to see Stacey Yacula was illustrating a stamp line for MFT as she is one of my favorite designers. I've always wanted to buy her stamps, but I never bought any from Purple Onions Design, so having them available at MFT makes me really... Continue reading

Hello friends! Today is the 12th day of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags and we are showing off Pretty Pink Posh tags today. If you haven't followed along with this blog before, try it out as it is so fun and there is so much inspiration! The blog is called In My Creative Opinion You can go to the Pretty Pink Posh blog to see all of the participants in today's hop. Let's get started as I have a lot to share (as usual haha). Here are all my tags together: Tag 1: This tag is made with the Scallop Square Tag die. I used watercolor paper and then painted it with a light green watercolor. I die-cut some... Continue reading

...This means today you can purchase all of the new Pretty Pink Posh products we have been teasing you with! As usual, Paulina has made it very easy to buy them all together in a bundle and you save 10% doing it. I've used all of the new products and I can't imagine living without any of them as they all work so well together. Today I am sharing two cards using the new Penguin Pals stamp set and die set as well as some of the other new stand alone dies. Card 1: This background was made as part of my blog post about making winter sky backgrounds HERE if you want to see it. I used an MFT... Continue reading

Today I have four FALL cards to share with you. I had recently purchased some Fall stamp sets and I hadn't used any of them as I moved right into Christmas cards. They are always my favorite cards to make! But I don't like it when I buy a stamp set and don't use it, so I decided to make a card with each of my new Fall sets before I was allowed to go back to Christmas ones. I mean Fall deserves it's chance to shine, don't you think??? I have a card using Pretty Pink Posh, two cards using Hello Bluebird, and one card using MFT. Let's get started! Hello Bluebird Fall Friends: I can't say enough about... Continue reading

I recently did a blog post about making card backgrounds ahead of time as that is something I usually do. I primarily focused on watercolor backgrounds on this post since it is my most commonly used medium. You can see the post HERE. I've recently been seeing a lot of Distress Ink backgrounds that have snow spots on them or dark night skies. I had no idea how to do these nor have I ever tried. So I got out all my Distress Inks and decided to play and learn and then share it all with you! I'm calling this Card Backgrounds 2 and I hope you enjoy it as I certainly had fun making all of these. And the... Continue reading

Today I pulled out a couple of my older Pretty Pink Posh winter sets and made two cards. I received these in the mail some time ago and hadn't had a chance to use them. I love them even if they are old. I especially love mixing older sets with newer ones - but this time it's just the older ones. Here are images of the two sets called Winter Wonderland and Holiday Pals: CARD 1: To make the background for this card, I embossed the snowflakes in the Winter Wonderland stamp set over and over on a card size piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper with white embossing powder. I then rubbed Distress Oxide Inks over it using Broken China,... Continue reading

You all know (if you have visited before) I love to make what I call random stamping cards with stamp sets with small images. My recently acquired Mama Elephant stamps are perfect for this technique, so I made two cards to share with you today. I love puzzles, so making random stamped cards is really fun to me if I use my Misti. I just line up all of the stamps together like a puzzle and then stamp them at one time. This way it only takes about three or so times to get them all stamped. My first card uses the new Little Agenda Trains stamp and die set. I stamped all of the images with black intense ink... Today I'm part of the second day of the Pretty Pink Posh and Glue Dots Blog Hop collaboration. I made two cards using the new Glue Dots products that were sent to me for the hop. I LOVE THEM. It's always so fun when you discover new adhesives, right? I was the most in love with the little itty bitty glue dots that fit so perfectly under the PPP jewels - even the smallest one! No more glue dried everywhere on my card! I decided to work with two of my favorite floral sets by PPP because flowers are always my favorite to color! Card 1: Both of my cards used the PPP Stitched Notes die for the backgrounds. I... Continue reading

Mama Elephant recently came out with a holiday line of stamps and dies that were used in their 6 year celebration blog hop. I was lucky enough to be part of that hop, so I received two sets to work with. That post is HERE if you want to check out my 5 cards. But then I had to go back and buy three more sets as I loved them that much! Well actually four if you count the greetings stamp set as well. They are all linked at the end of this post, but I've primarily focused on the Santa's Sleigh stamp set for this post. I'm saving my Penguin cards for another post as they deserve their own... Today the new Simon Says Stamp Card Kit was released - it is called Thanks and Leaves. Here is an image: As usual, I like to focus on the stamp set in the card kits which can be purchased alone if you prefer - Thanks and Leaves Stamp Set. But unfortunately I didn't get time to do a "one stamp, five ways" post this time. I do have three cards to share with you - they are all 3x4" as there are 3x4" Kraft envelopes in the kit. I have mentioned I'm in LOVE with colored pencils lately, so I went with that look (((again))). Hopefully this love affair will die down so I can get back to my regularly... Continue reading

Today is day 1 of a 2 day blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp new Fun and Festive product release. I'm excited to be sharing with you a new set of watercolor cards called Suzy's Snowmen. Here is an image: I'll be showing you all 12 of these cards colored and made into greeting cards below. I have a lot of images as I wanted to show you both a full image and a close up image of each card. This is because I went crazy with the Tonic Nuvo Drops on these and I wanted you to see all the dimension and sheen they add to the cards. At the end of all of these images, I'll list... DiIf you have been reading my blog for very long, you probably have heard me talk about how I make many of my card backgrounds ahead of time. I like to stock pile them! I can spend one afternoon making a bunch and then have them ready when I have to make some cards quickly. I also get "in the mood" and enjoy doing it this way. Maybe I should say "in the groove". haha These backgrounds can be used as is, or used to die-cut for a background, or use to die-cut out designs or words to use ON a card (not for the background). I often use them as patterned paper to die-cut greetings for cards. Ok, that's... Continue reading

The Fun and Festive release by Simon Says Stamp is now live and I'm ready to show it off! I've been playing with some of the new products all day today and I have two cards to share with you using a few of them. I have a watercolor card set in this release called Suzy's Snowmen Watercolor Prints. Here is an image: I'll have all 12 of these cards painted to show you on the first day of the blog hop tomorrow (Thursday, October 11th) so come back and visit to see them made into actual cards. My two cards that I have to share with you today use some of my other favorite products in this release -... Continue reading

Hi Friends! I have three FALL cards to share with you today using many of the Pretty Pink Posh new products. As you will soon see, I had a lot of fun playing with all of these products! Hopefully these will inspire you to create something yourself over the weekend which is National Card Making Day or something like that haha! Any excuse to create works for me.... Card 1: This card uses a few of the stand-alone dies from the last release and NO STAMPS (that's a first for me!). I loved the Thanks Leaf Shaker die, so I used it as the focal point for the card. I also used the Small Stitched Foliage and Fall Tags dies.... Continue reading

Hi friends! Today the newest STAMPtember product is a collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh. My two favorite companies have created a beautiful floral stamp set called Pansies. I just want to start out by warning you, these exclusive stamp sets sell out fast and are never re-stocked, so if you want to buy it, do it soon. I keep missing out on some of the ones I want this month! I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today with six cards! Here is an image of the stamp set which also comes as a bundle with dies: And here are some of my colored pansy images: I ended up coloring quite a few more as... Continue reading

Today Tim Holtz teamed up with Simon Says Stamp as part of the STAMPtember with an exclusive stamp set and four stencils bundled together. I was lucky enough to get to work with all of these products before the release and was requested to mail my cards to the TIM himself. I think he might have even fondled MY CARDS on his Facebook live today announcing the new set. I need to go watch it to see if he liked them. I think in all the years I've been creating (scrapbooking first, then card making) and working in the industry with Tim and even taken classes from him, I've never created anything for him or his company. So I was... Continue reading

Welcome to the LAST stop of the two day Pretty Pink Posh blog hop (((if you have made it this far haha))). On the day of the new product release, I posted THIS BLOG POST with lots of photos of colored images using each stamp set in the new release. Today I have two cards to share with you using the gorgeous Anemone Floral stamps and dies. Here is an image of all of my flowers after I had colored them and die cut them out. Coloring is definitely my favorite part, so I tend to spend way to long on that part of the process! Half of the above flowers were painted with watercolors and the other half were... Today my "one stamp, five ways" post is using the brand new Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit called Sketched Flowers. I love floral stamps, so this one was right up my alley. I made six cards with the stamp set as the focus, but I also used the other items in the kit for these cards (as I'll discuss below). Here is an image of the kit with the stamp set: You can purchase the stamp set alone if you only want it and not the full kit - all of my card ideas would work with just the stamp set and it's a beauty! Here are my six cards: Card 1: Let me be really honest. I am... Continue reading

I'm finally back with my Simon Says Stamp It's Your Birthday watercolor cards all painted and made into cards to show you. They were part of the latest STAMPtember product release a week or so ago. I had two new sets of watercolor cards in this release including the Flower Sentiment set I showed all painted on this blog post HERE. Here is an image of the It's Your Birthday Set: Whenever I draw a set of watercolor cards, I try to include some drawings for all tastes. I know I have a whimsical/playful/cutesy style that may not fit some people's taste, but I do try to include lots of options. Drawing these sets each month does not come easily... Continue reading

Pretty Pink Posh released a new set of products last week and they are SO very cute! I haven't had a chance to blog about them as I was taking my daughter to college in Utah. But I did have lots of time to color, so I wanted to share my colored images with you. I will be showing you some cards made with these images during the PPP blog hop that is on September 13th and 14th. All of the products I used in this post are linked at the end of the post to both the Pretty Pink Posh store as well as the Simon Says Stamp store. If you are like me and you want the ENTIRE... STAMPtember is finally here - wootwoot - the entire release is HERE! I'm super excited about all these awesome new products and my two sets of watercolor card sets that have been released. One is a birthday watercolor card set and the other is a floral watercolor card set called Foral Sentiments with all different sentiments. Here are images of both: Today I'll be sharing the floral set all painted and made into cards. I'll share the birthday set in a few days as they are all ready to go as well! Here are all 12 with two versions of one of them so 13 in total. I have some tips and techniques I used to color these at the... Continue reading

Today's "one stamp, five ways" post is using one of my all time favorite SSS stamp sets called Sketch Lotus Flowers. I prepared this post a week ago and now the stamp, die, and bundle are all out of stock! So this is a really bad time to try and promote the set, but if you already have it (and apparently quite a few have sold), this might be a helpful post for you! I have six cards to share with you! Here is an image of the stamp set - it looks simple, but I found lots of ways to use that one image! Card 1: I always like to start with my favorite card. This is my random... Continue reading

Hello stamping friends! Today's "one stamp, five ways" post uses an older floral set by Simon Says Stamp called Summer Flowers. You can purchase it alone, with the matching dies, or as a bundle. I've always wanted to use it and since they didn't have an August release, it was the perfect time to pull it out. (Note: but watch out for Stamptember coming to a theater near you soon!). If you visit regularly, I've talked a lot about my colored pencil obsession/preferences recently. I have always used Prismacolor, but I just bought a set of Faber Castelle. I'll do a review of both on an upcoming blog post for those interested - but the short message is I love... Continue reading
