Today is the release of the Simon Says Stamp July 2021 Card Kit called Garden Greetings. Here is an image of the kit: I used the kit for my "one stamp, five ways" post today, but I primarily focused on the stamp set also called Garden Greetings. It is a 6" x 8" stamp set that is full of gorgeous flowers and perfect sentiments. I also used the new Blossom Field Embossing Folder on a few of my cards because it is so very gorgeous and I just couldn't resist using it on almost all of them! Here are my five cards! CARD 1: This card uses the Blossom Field embossing folder for the background. First, I sprayed a piece... Continue reading

I made a card with the greeting "you are enough" to share with you and because I need to hear that today (and everyday), I titled my blog post with that greeting in all caps! This card is made with the Delicate Outline Flowers Background stamp by Simon Says Stamp from their last release called Rainbows. Here is an image of the stamp set: I also used the new "You Are Enough" wafer die as my greeting which is also part of the Rainbows Release. Here is my card (which you might have seen as it was front and center on the banner announcing the release). This card was so simple - especially if you love coloring like I do.... Continue reading

I love the My Favorite Things monthly releases. They have some of my favorite illustrators and it is always so fun working with their new products! Today I had quite a few tempting stamp sets to pick from as I love so many from this June Release! The Stacey Yacula set was my favorite this month, so I made a slim line card with the new Stacey Yacula stamp set called Spa Day. Here is an image of the stamp and the matching set of dies: I had to make a slim-line to have maximum real estate to work on so I could use all of these cute images to create my scene! I wanted the background of my "bathroom... Continue reading

Today is the first day of a two day blog hop celebration of the newest Simon Says Stamp release called RAINBOWS. This release is full of fun summer products and lots of happy rainbow products. I have a new set of "Suzy's Watercolor Cards" in the release called Sun and Sea Watercolor Cards. Here is an image: There are six designs with two prints of each design. They are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I'll show you some of them colored and then give you some tips and techniques I use when coloring them. I went to the beach today to take a walk and sea glass hunt. The little items around this card in the photo are things I... Continue reading

Tonight is the new Simon Says Stamp RAINBOWS release and who doesn't love rainbows?!?!?!?! This release has so many great products in it and definitely more than just rainbows, but in sticking with the theme of the release, I made a rainbow card to share with you! I used two of the new stamp sets for this card. You can see the entire RAINBOWS release here. And here are the two stamp sets I used for my card called You Are Love and Repeating Rainbows Cling Stamp: It seems as though these two sets were made to go together! Here is my card: I started by stamping the new Repeating Rainbows cling stamp on a white card base with Intense... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using stamp set from the Born to Sparkle release. Tonight is the newest Simon release called Rainbows, so I wanted to fit one more in with a stamp from the last release. The stamp that I am using is a 4" x 6" stamp called Window Box Blooms and it has a matching set of dies which is great. Here is an image of the stamp and the die which are also sold as a bundle: CARD 1: I wanted to make a mini slim-line card with one of the flower pots and the window from the Window Box Blooms set. I was trying to decide what... Continue reading

I love cutesy stamps. I love fairies. I love nature and flowers. I love lots of color. So when I saw the new Doodlebug Fairy Garden line, I fell in love! It is so cute and whimsical and perfect for making cards with my grand-daughter. The 4" x 6" stamp set is called Fairy Garden and it also comes with a matching set of dies. Here is an image of it: Cute, huh? I've never purchased their stamps before, but I have used them when they are part of a SSS special edition kit or card kit. And I always love them! I wanted to use ALL of the images in the set on one card, so I went with... Continue reading

Today i have a card to share with you using an older Simon Says Stamp set that I loved then and I still love now. I think I've pulled it out 3 times to make a card with it. It is a simple one, but it packs a punch! I love images that are "sketchy" haha - that look like sketched lines around them. Maybe that's why I often stamp in a light ink and add my own lines so I get that sketched look. This one comes this way! It's a 4x6" stamp and it's called Sketched Lotus Flowers and it has a matching die. Here is an image of them together as a bundle: And here is my... Continue reading

I haven't done a "one stamp, three coloring methods" post in a while as they are quite time consuming. But today I have one to share with you using the new Party Balloons stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. This one was released in their last release called Born to Sparkle. Here is an image of the stamp: This is a cling stamp, but it is bigger than their usually background stamps - it is 6" x 7.75". The size makes it perfect for all card sizes including slimline cards. I couldn't wait to color this one with all those balloons on it! I used my usual colored pencils, Copics, and Karin Brushmarkers (watercolors). Here are the 3 images I... Continue reading

Tonight I have a new slim-line card to share with you using a stamp set by My Favorite Things designed by Stacey Yacula (one of my favorite illustrators!) called Travel Plans. This one was in their last release in May. It's the perfect set to use if you are going to start traveling now that covid restrictions are lightening up. Here is an image of the stamp set: There are matching dies, but I didn't have them so I fussy cut all of the images out. Lucky I like to fussy cut and have good scissors! Here is my card: I wanted to use all of he images, so I went with the slim-line format. I also love to create... Continue reading

Today is the release of the Simon Says Stamp June 2021 Card Kit called Rainbow is My Favorite Color. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today using the kit. I think I used every single item in the kit this time even though I always try to focus on the stamp set. The stamp is also called Rainbow is My Favorite Color and is sold alone if you don't want to buy the entire kit. Here is an image of the kit: I think I love this kit so much because I love rainbows. My cards came together so easy. I usually prefer stamps that allow me to color in their images, but for... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using a really cool stamp set from the Born to Sparkle release called Organic Fruits. Here is an image of the stamp and die sold together as a bundle: I was very happy I had the dies for this one as I really liked them die-cut out and I like this stamp set enough to use it again and again even after this post! As always, I try to make my "one stamp, five ways" posts use different coloring mediums and/or different techniques on each card so you can see the stamp set used in many different ways. So here we go! CARD 1: My first card... Continue reading

This house renovation thing is quite time consuming! And overwhelming! And dirty. And I just want my old house back before it was all torn up so it could be updated because it was falling apart. I liked it that way just for the record. But enough about me. Let's get to the point of this post... I made this card days ago and just haven't had time to post it! First let me show you my card. Then let me explain... I had a background stamp by SSS that I had recently purchased called Flower Explosion. I didn't know how old it was. I didn't get a chance to use it for a few months. I forgot to check... Continue reading

I made a card today! I used several products from the SSS Born To Sparkle Release. First I used that gorgeous new embossing folder called Magnolia Branches. I've seen such gorgeous cards made with it. Unfortunately it wasn't the main event on my card, so it gets lost in the background of my white photo. I also used the new Wood Flower Cluster Stamp. Do you like wood stamps? I enjoy how well they stamp. I thought I would miss using my Misti as I always stamp images twice. But the wood stamps stamp perfectly just once! And last, I used the new Wishing You Joy dies. Here is the card: I started by embossing the Magnolia Branches embossing folder... Continue reading

Today is the MFT May 2021 product release. What do two stamp sets by Rachelle Anne Miller equal? Cute overload! Which is ironic considering one of the two sets is called Cuteness Overload! And it won't disappoint. The other set is called Million Dollar Friends and it is my favorite stamp from the new release. Her darling girl illustrations have my heart as they remind me of my girls when they were young and cute and sweet! Those days are over, so I live vicariously through my stamps haha! Here are images of the two stamp sets I'll be using in my card today: Cuteness overload, am I right? Funny that I just noticed that I used the "Together, we... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, three coloring methods" post to share with you. One of the new products in the Simon Says Stamp Born To Sparkle release was a new floral cling stamp called "Magnolia Background Stamp". I am a big fan of flowers AND I have Magnolia trees all over my yard, so this one was special to me! I wanted to try coloring it in all three of my favorite ways - using colored pencils, Copic markers, and Karin Brushmarkers. Here is am image of the cling stamp: Here is an image showing them colored with all 3 coloring mediums.I used antique gold embossing powder for the Karin Brushmarkers, MFT Natural Ink for no-line coloring with the... I'm so excited about the new Simon Says Stamp release called Born To Sparkle. As usual, it is full of such a fun array of products that it was hard to pick what I was going to use for my cards today! I ended up doing a "one stamp, five ways" post using the new stamp set called Spring Bouquets and the matching dies. Here is an image of them sold as a bundle: Next, I'll show you my 5 cards using this stamp and die bundle. I tried to incorporate several different coloring mediums and techniques and use the stamp with and without the die to show it's versatility. I also used most of the greetings in the stamp... Today is the Simon Says Stamp "Born to Sparkle" release! I have a card to share with you today using the new Window Box Blooms stamp set. I also have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you during the two day blog hop (day one which is 4/29) using the new Spring Bouquet stamp set. Here is an image of the darling Window Box Blooms stamp set with matching dies: I should have made 5 cards with this set also as is is so cute. I will definitely do that soon! I only have one to share today though. I incorporated another new stamp in my card called the Spring Blooms cling stamp. Here is my card:... Continue reading

I've really been diving into my older stash lately which makes me very proud of myself! I especially love to combine an older set with some newer sets. Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using a cling stamp called Center Cut Flowers by Simon Says Stamp which was released a little over a year ago. I'm going to combine it with a new set of greeting stamps called XL Greetings 2. I love when a greeting set has matching dies as I think they look so much better when they are die-cut around the letters. This one leaves some white around them which is different than the CZ greeting dies. I like that... Continue reading

I have been "absent" all week if anyone has noticed. I have been very busy with my house renovation and haven't had as much time for creating. I did make a card today though! I used a new gorgeous floral set I had recently purchased by Gina K. Designs called Heartfelt Bouquet. Here is an image of the 6x8 stamp set: Here is my card. There are also matching dies, but I didn't need them as this is a one layer card. This is a very simple card design. I just stamped the floral bouquet in the Heartfelt Bouquet stamp set on white cardstock with MFT natural Ink. I then colored it in with colored pencils. I cut this piece... Continue reading

As I mentioned on my blog post last night, I am in the middle of a house renovation and I've been a little distracted so I have become quite forgetful! I completely forgot that the Simon Says Stamp card kit was released at midnight last night (9:00 pm my time pst). I had my cards all made, but never put up my blog post. So here it is - better late than absent from the party, right? The kit is called Dandelion Messages and here is an image of it: I have 3 cards to share with you today and I used the Dandelion Message stamp set (which is sold alone as well) quite a bit on each. I usually... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you. And guess what - I used a SSS stamp set that has flowers in it AGAIN! Flowers and critters are my favorites every time. Today I pulled out an oldie, but a goodie called Beautiful Flowers 2. I'm not sure how long ago it came out, but it does have matching dies and is sold as a bundle. Here is an image of the bundle: When this set came out, I stamped a bunch of images with black ink and colored some in with watercolors and colored some with colored pencils. And then I put them into a baggie to use on a "one stamp, five ways"... Continue reading

I absolutely LOVE some of the products in the MFT April release and I had so much fun using them! I'm always a fan of Birdie Brown sets and Stacey Yacula sets - they are my two favorite illustrators. But now they added Rachelle Anne Miller and I have 3 I love! I was excited to get a stamp set/die from all 3 of these illustrators, but I only got a chance to use two of them. First, I have a slim-line card to share with you using the Birdie Brown Sittin Pretty stamp set and matching die. Here is an image of the stamp: And here is my slim-line card using this set as well as the English Brick... Continue reading

That blog post title is heavy! Because I don't have a lot of sunshine, joy, or happiness to share right now! haha It's a gloomy day in Southern Ca., my joy is stress about family matters, and my happiness is depleted due to a house renovation in progress. But that is the great thing about making a card. I can make something pretty that will hopefully bring others joy when they look at it even if the creator is a gloomy mess behind the scenes! Today I have used the Thoughtful Flowers stamp set by SSS that I used on another blog post recently HERE. Here is an image of the stamp set: I told you on my last blog... Continue reading

As part of the SSS All the Feels release, I had a set of watercolor cards released called Sunshine and Rainbows. I painted 3 of them as part of the blog hop and you can see that post HERE. Today I am going to show you the other three all painted. Here is an image of the set: I felt like we could ALL use a little sunshine and remember that rainbows follow the storms. I hope this Spring and Summer gives us all the rainbows we need after all these cloudy days. Ok, that was wayyyyy deepppppp for me haha. If you know my personality at all, I'm all about the jokes and laugh my way through everything. Even... Continue reading
