Hi friends! Today I have an exciting announcement to make for both ME and for YOU! I was asked to join the Hello Bluebird design team. I'm super excited as I was going broke buying ALL of their stamps from each release. And now I get them for free to design with to inspire YOU to buy them - heeeehehehehe. Now what is the good news for YOU you ask? I have a give-a-way of one of my favorite HB stamp sets at the end of this post. To be eligible, leave a comment on this post and/or on my Instagram post. I'll draw a winner and announce next Wednesday, February 20th. BUT first (I'm really in the mood to... Continue reading

Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post using the Simon Says Stamp March card kit called Lucky Rainbow. It is a bit St. Patrick's Day themed, but it also works well for other subjects as you will see in my cards below. There is one smaller 3x4" stamp set called Wooley Lucky that has a llama with four leaf clovers and St. Patrick's Day greetings, but the larger 6x8" stamp set called Amazing is not about the holiday. Here is an image of the kit in it's entirety: I focused three of my cards on St. Patrick's Day using the smaller stamp set and two of my cards focus on the larger stamp set with those awesome circles!... Hello friends! I'm sitting here watching the Bachelor while trying to type up a blog post in time for this product release in the am. And tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY!!! I want to apologize for my photos (again) as they were taken on a rainy day at sunset and I did NOT have good light. I've done my best to fix them up with lots of editing, but they still look a little off. Forgive me. The cards are cuter in real life haha. Ok, let's get started! My post today uses the brand new Stacey Yacula stamp set for MFT called "It's A mice Time To Celebrate" that is being released today (((February 5th, my birthday - please wish... Continue reading

Each month, MFT releases a new stamp set by Stacey Yacula. I'll be doing a "one stamp, five ways" blog post each time on release day. Today's release goes live at 7:00 pst on January 22nd. I've done posts on the the last two sets HERE and HERE if you want to see them. This month her set is called Joyful Heart Bears and comes with a set of dies as well. I've made 5 cards (yep, 5 this time) for my one stamp, five ways post to share with you. Here is an image of the stamp set: I do need to confess that I just got home from Creativation today. I had colored these images before I left,... Continue reading

Today I'm sharing one using the BRAND NEW JUST RELEASED SSS Special Edition Valentine's Day Kit . These exclusive kits run out fast, so letting you know right now that if you want to buy this thing, do it quick. I always see comments from people that are frustrated they ran out so quickly. I have five cards and three mini cards to share with you today because frankly, I never obey the rules of my own blog series! haha Here is an image of the kit in full: My favorite part... Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you that includes 6 cards instead of 5! I am using the brand new SSS February Card Kit called Love Always. Here is an image of the kit: As usual, I try to focus on the stamp set in the kit, so although I use all of the "ingredients", I try to make a card of two with just the stamp set. This one is 6x8 and is full of pretty flowers, hearts, and greetings, so it was easy to do (resulting in 6 cards!). You can purchase just the stamp set HERE if you prefer. There is also a background stamp in this kit which is so... Continue reading

Today is the first day of the two day blog hop for the Simon Says Stamp You Are Loved release. Most of the products were released in December, but it was such a busy month that the blog hop was moved to this month. There was ONE product that wasn't released yet and this one is kind of special to me! Here is an image of my latest watercolor cards called Sending Love: This set of cards is perfect for all of your Valentine's Day card needs! They are all printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper which is pure white and perfect for all coloring mediums, but thick enough for watercolors. Your job is just to pretty them up and attach... Two of the Cupcake Critters cards were already shared on the PPP Blog last week during the new product announcements, so I'll just show you the images and not go into the directions since they are there. The entire PPP new product release is HERE. You can purchase all of it together with a 10% discount HERE. So now let's get this party started!!! Card 1: Cupcake Critters I used the Storybook 5 die for this card with a watercolored background behind it. For some extra pizazz, I added some... Continue reading

Hello friends! Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post using the SSS brand new January 2019 Card Kit called "Snow Much". It is darling and will definitely make you feel like you want to stick your toes in some snow (I say this as I stuck my toes in the sand at the beach today and it was HOT, so yep, I'm craving some snow so I can feel like it is winter). Here is an image of the kit: As usual, you can buy the stamp set alone which is called Snow Much also and is 6x8". You can also buy that cute little die alone which is called the Twirling Ice Skater. As stated, I have... Continue reading

Today Simon Says Stamp released a big group of Valentine's products called "You Are Loved". We might be in the holiday mood right now and not thinking of Valentine's yet, but many of these products have to do with love and what better topic than love for the holidays, right? Also, think of Christmas gift ideas for yourself! And for others - thus my newest set of watercolor cards is called the Gift Card Set. I drew these images to be the perfect set for giving as a gift to someone. They cover all of the card sentiments needed including birthday, thank you, etc... They are bundled with a set of Prima Watercolor Pencils so the gift is complete for... Continue reading

Yep, I'm on a Christmas card roll. This needs to turn into a Christmas decorations roll as I haven't even started and it's the 7th! I usually have my tree up on the first weekend of December. So tomorrow it is. But for today, I'm going to share more of my cards that I have been posting on IG in case anyone wants the directions and supplies. I have one using MFT stamps and 3 using Hello Bluebird stamps today. MFT - Cool Christmas: My first card uses the MFT Cool Christmas stamp set. I fell in love with this one and had to have it! I used one of my favorite dies for winter cards called Horizontal Snow Drifts.... Continue reading

I have a new watercolor card set that was released at Simon Says Stamp tonight. It is called Happy Holidays. Here is an image: Simon Says Stamp is showing all 12 of these watercolor cards colored on the Simon Says Stamp Blog with directions and tips. Here is a sneak peek of all of them together: Which one is your favorite? I like the penguins the best and the ornaments with JOY second best. I had so much fun drawing and coloring all of these. They are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper so they can be colored with ANY coloring medium you prefer. I use them all! I've listed links to the coloring mediums I use below. I hope you... I've been a regular on my blog lately - I hope someone is reading it and appreciating it haha. Today I have two Christmas cards to share with you using MAMA ELEPHANT goodies. Let's start by talking about my introduction to card making... I was a scrapbooker for years. I won all the contests and was in all the magazines and on design teams. For the last four years of Creating Keepsakes magazine's existence, I was on their Dream Team. During the end of my scrapbooking "career", I was contacted by MFT. I knew nothing of the card and stamping side of things. I didn't know they were a big company so I wasn't excited by their offer. They wanted... Continue reading

Hi friends! First off, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I personally am glad it is over as I spent all day cooking for 15 people and I'm exhausted. Not to mention I was up 5 lbs this am and that was before I've even started on all the leftovers. But I AM thankful for the rest of my days all year haha! Let's get down to business... I've been creating Christmas Cards like a crazy person. I can't stop - coloring goes everywhere with me. I have made about 10 to share with you in the past week. Today I have two to share with you using cute Hello Bluebird stamp sets. The first one uses the... Continue reading

Hi friends! Today I am sharing something I made just for fun. Meaning this is NOT an assignment, is NOT a paid advertisement (haha) and is NOT trying to sell you something - whoopee! I wanted to make a slimline card as I keep seeing them on Instagram and think they are so cute. I love that they allow you to use more of your stamps and create a longer scene than a standard card does. I researched a bit and found THIS BLOG post by Nicky that discussed slimline card sizes and how she came to the conclusion that if she makes them 8.5 x 3.5" they will fit perfectly into a standard slimline size envelope. So instead of... Continue reading

Today is the brand spankin' new Simon Says Stamp holiday card kit release called Comfort and Joy. This is one of there very loaded limited edition kits that sell out in hours. I guarantee it will bring you JOY if you get one - not sure about comfort!!! Here is a photo of the full kit: I made five full size cards plus a smaller 3x4 card with this kit, so this is technically a "one stamp, five ways" post today. I tried to primarily focus on the stamp set in the kit so it qualifies! haha I also used the background stamp a couple times as that one is just gorgeous! I replaced my usual love affair with Tonic... Continue reading

Today is day two of the Pretty Pink Posh new holiday products Blog Hop. I hope you are getting really inspired to make holiday cards from all these amazing bloggers using the cute new products by PPP. I have two cards to share with you today using many of these new products. Card 1: This card uses two of the new stamp sets called Elegant Holly and Poinsettias. First, let's talk about that crazy background - I made it some time ago on THIS BLOG POST about making backgrounds ahead of time. It is just painted red watercolor circles. I was saving it for just the right card and then I used it on this one where most of it... Continue reading

Hello again two days in a row! I'm actually here with my second "one stamp, five ways" post in a week - don't get used to this hahaha. For today's post I'm using the SSS December Card Kit called Holiday Cheer. I usually focus on the stamp when doing kit posts so that my title actually applies (one stamp, five ways). But this kit has two of my watercolor cards in it, so they are part of my five cards and only 3 focus on using the stamp. Forgive me please! I've always been a rule breaker... You can purchase the little candy cane die I use on one of my cards separately as well as the stamp set separately.... Continue reading

Today I finally have a new "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you - these take a bit more time than my usual posts, so when I'm busy I don't get them done very often! The reason I did one today is I got really lucky and MFT sent me some of their new release which goes live and is ready for purchase on September 13th at 8:00 am pst. I was so excited to see Stacey Yacula was illustrating a stamp line for MFT as she is one of my favorite designers. I've always wanted to buy her stamps, but I never bought any from Purple Onions Design, so having them available at MFT makes me really... Continue reading

Today I have four FALL cards to share with you. I had recently purchased some Fall stamp sets and I hadn't used any of them as I moved right into Christmas cards. They are always my favorite cards to make! But I don't like it when I buy a stamp set and don't use it, so I decided to make a card with each of my new Fall sets before I was allowed to go back to Christmas ones. I mean Fall deserves it's chance to shine, don't you think??? I have a card using Pretty Pink Posh, two cards using Hello Bluebird, and one card using MFT. Let's get started! Hello Bluebird Fall Friends: I can't say enough about... Continue reading

I recently did a blog post about making card backgrounds ahead of time as that is something I usually do. I primarily focused on watercolor backgrounds on this post since it is my most commonly used medium. You can see the post HERE. I've recently been seeing a lot of Distress Ink backgrounds that have snow spots on them or dark night skies. I had no idea how to do these nor have I ever tried. So I got out all my Distress Inks and decided to play and learn and then share it all with you! I'm calling this Card Backgrounds 2 and I hope you enjoy it as I certainly had fun making all of these. And the... Continue reading
