I’m excited! It’s release time for Impression Obsession, and that means I have new stamps and dies to share with you! Today is the first day of the In Love with Spring 2020 Release Celebration, and I hope you enjoy the inspiration! All of the new stamps and dies you see on our celebration posts are available now on the Impression Obsession website. You’ll find New Dies designed by me and New Stamps by all of the Impression Obsession stamp artists! Find all the details on this exciting release on the Impression Obsession Blog. The card I’m sharing today is made with three dies from the release. I used Eyelet Primitive Hearts, Dainty Heart, and the heart from Heart & Home. The Eyelet Primitive Hearts is cut from Kraft colored cardstock, and inked with brown ink for a bit of warmth. The Dainty Heart was cut from both white cardstock and antique silver glitter cardstock and the two pieces used separately. The thin heart frame is perfectly imperfect, and the silver center heart (hard to see in these photos) has stitching detail. The red heart is the center of the Heart & Home die. They are all layered over a paper doily and some faint text printed paper. Each day of the celebration, you can find a list of participating designers posted on the Impression Obsession blog at 6:00am Eastern. Impression Obsession will be giving away one $25 gift certificate for each of the designers participating in this release. Welcome to 2020!! A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! This week’s challenge is Love is in the Air. Pull out your Impression Obsession stamps and/or dies, and join us! For my project I made a card using Primitive Gingerbread, Primitive Gingerbread Accessories, Large Frame, and sneak peeking (a favorite!) Quilted Frame and Small Love Pie, two of my new dies in the 2020 Valentine die release! I’m bringing the ginger girl beyond the Christmas holidays! My ginger girl was cut from thin chipboard, and lightly inked with brown ink for a nice “baked just right” look. I used various prints from the Snow & Cocoa paper pad by Crate Paper. Super cute! She has whipped up a special pie, made with love, for her special someone. I love the detail on the pie crust and plate, bowl, her dress, and the frames behind her. A new challenge is being shared today on the Impression Obsession Blog, and I hope you join the fun! This week’s challenge is Harvest Treats (fruits, veggies, pumpkins). The background layer is stamped with Newsprint cover-a-card, and inked up to make it aged and loved. The pear is stamped on watercolor paper, colored with watercolor pigments. Over the pear I stamped a text block randomly, several times, and finally added the embrace life sentiment using the Express Yourself clear set on a Pinked Stitched Sentiment Banner die cut. The Impression Obsession design team is featuring dies as the main focus for our inspiration projects today. I made a card using Large Frame (which is, in my opinion, a must-have die!), and the Tea & Cocoa mug set. I cut the mug several times from heavyweight white cardstock, and several times from various pieces of printed patterned papers. I adhered the patterned papers to the white cardstock pieces, so the cups are nice and sturdy. I stacked the cups together, and adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. I added a twine bow dressed up with a cute small button, made using one of the buttons from Button Card. Check the Impression Obsession blog for a list of designers providing inspiration today! Fill a mug with hot tea, coffee, cocoa or cider, and I’m happy! Give me crafty time too, and oooooh goodie! The background of the card is made with Large Frame with the frame from Crazy Stitched Set layered on top, cut from different patterned papers. The Tea & Cocoa mug is cut from heavyweight white cardstock and patterned paper, topped with cream cut from white wool felt. I just love the added stitching detail on the mug! I added a cute little red heart cut from wool felt, as well. I dressed the mug up with a die cut button and some holly leaves. The button is from the Sewing Accessories die set, the holly is from the Primitive Candy Cane & Holly die set, and the little candy cane stuck in the whipped cream was made with the candy cane included in the Stocking die set. Once the card was finished, I gave it a quick spray with glitter spray, for lots of sparkle and shine! Frame and mug printed papers are from Authentique’s Jingle line. Super cute! The green paper I used for the holly is from an American Crafts 6x6, but I don’t recall the series name. It was a scrap, put to good use. Continue reading
