HEHE Avatar Gets Its Own Museum Exhibit If you just can't wait until the next "Avatar" movie, get to Seattle. On June 4, 2011, the Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum (EMP|SFM) is opening AVATAR: The Exhibition. They've featured awesome other exhibits, like right now they've got features on Battlestar Galactica and Nirvana. For the Avatar one, you'll see props, displays and concept models from the blockbuster film, including a interactive displays to teach you about how motion capture and 3-D cameras work and how the virtual world of Pandora was created (No word if there will be a part where you can Na'vi yourself.) "The exhibition is going to be a unique opportunity for people to learn more not only about how the film was made, but also experience Pandora in a much deeper way. Fans will be able to see in-person the workmanship behind the film, whether it's how scenes are captured; or how a costume was built first as a real world garment then produced digitally," director James Cameron said in an emailed statement. "It'll create a tactical reality that'll be a good companion to having seen the movie." Now, I don't know if I would actually pay money to fly to the West Coast unless James Cameron is personally giving me a lesson on how to fly Toruk Makto.
