for the love of dogs
i use to house sit for some people who owned two dogs. the people were jerks. the dogs were wonderful. trinity was a boxer, and sage was a boston terror (terrier). they were awesome dogs. i found out this week that they were both killed in a house fire. a couple years ago the family moved to BC, so i haven't seen trinity or sage in a while.. but their death stung me anyway. it really sucks so today, i went out to my friend's farm to be with her dog, daisy. daisy is a great pyrenees/ golden retriever. daisy... ahhhh the concert was a success! however saskatchewan was hit with a massive blizzard, preventing my mother from coming to said concert. i was relieved, but i was also saddened. this was the first concert my mom has missed since i started preforming back in elementary school.. kindergarten to be exact. even with her cancer last year, she managed to make it to my winter concert. but this year was the first one she missed. i was sad about that. she didn't get to see my new violin, i didn't get to play for her, she didn't get to see... well. then. so i get a call today from an irate patient wondering where his fucking orthotics are. i tell him they have not arrived yet, and while looking at his file, apologize for the long wait. we ordered them (so i've been told from the boss) in october of last year. okay, yes, i can understand this patient's dismay. i'd be pretty pissed off too if i waited three months for something i paid $300 for. i apologize and explain to the fucktard that the boss isn't in, and he calls the shots, and one of us will get...
