Home, my very most favourite place to be
I'm a Mum of two small boys, married to my Toby. Just finding my way through life in a higgledy piggledy fashion. Btw way the title of this blog is not a reference to myself!
Interests: crafty stuff, not sly crafty but creative crafty. and baking, must bake or might die.

I may HAVE to go to blogger... Or somewhere... It's taken hours to upload that last post and it's lost the whole righthand side of my photos. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! Continue reading

The trouble with the iPhone app is that I can't put two pics in and write around them. They just appear where they like. Hey ho! So far I haven't done brilliantly with the resolutions. I still swear more than I'd like or realise. I haven't used a crystal glass.... Continue reading

I'm running out of time. So little time left till our baby arrives. There's not enough time to blog....and I need to spend more time under my granny blanket, I swear it has magical sleep inducing powers. Precisely what I need as my sleep quality is pretty shabby! Hopefully this... Continue reading

NYE 2009 I don't feel very New Yeary. I'm not sure how that feels anymore. I feel how I used to as a child when I went to bed at the normal time and woke in another year. Not that I mind at all. For the last two years we... Continue reading

Gosh. 6 years already. It's been a whirlwind. We met, married and got pregnant with in 18 months. What a ride! It's been great, a very busy 6 years with a lot of major changes having occurred. I still absolutely love and adore my husband, much more than I did... Continue reading

Three years ago today at almost 5pm I had the first sign that my baby was on his way. At 6.12pm my Little Cuckoo flew in to the world and he hasn't slowed up since! Today is his 3rd birthday, three years of joy with that fabulous little boy. I... Continue reading

It's been very...weathery. I could go on and on about how different daily life is due to the weather but it's would just come across as grumpy. Living where we do is really difficult when the snow falls. We get rather cut off and I feel very very VERY nervous... Continue reading

The other day I saw something on Sandi's blog and I left a comment to say how much I loved it. I said it made me want to learn to knit so I could make myself one. I never thought for a moment that... ...Sandi would package one up so... Continue reading

I've given up waiting for decent light to take the photo's of my now much used Granny blanket. My first big crochet project. Ah, there she is! I'm especially pleased with the corners, the edge is a treble cluster shell type concoction that kind of happened all by it's self.... Continue reading

Hi Sandi! Ah bless you and your lovely comment. Thankfully we do have alternative heating and I say thankfully as we are currently under a thick blanket of snow. Also we live right on the crest of a hill so it's always pretty raw when the wind blows. We have the usual central heating here in the form of radiators and in the new bit of the house we have underfloor heating which is sublime (except when it leaks and spoils the paint work in the hallway!) So we keep cozy. Just off to nose at your blog now x x x

We are fortunate to have a cottage in Salcombe, South Devon, I call it the Seaside House. I was so lucky to recently spend two weekends there with friends. No boys allowed. It was a really lovely break from the old routine and I returned home with renewed zest and... Continue reading

Yep, chuffed. Boarderline smug. Not that it's good to admit that but I am pleased with myself. I finished two things last week. My GRANNY blanket (I will stop squealing about it soon) and some coasters. Two things that have been on my ever lengthening to do list. I'd love... Continue reading

Hi Sandi, That's a great phrase, think I'll have to adopt that into my vocabulary. Don't go apologising for not sending the *swoon* dish cloth, just knowing there's one with my name on it is exciting enough. Right I'm off to check out your blog now, see if you've added anything to it x x x x

I have this second FINISHED my GRANNY blanket! Last end woven in. I feel like I've really achieved something, I know it's not something phenominal but to me it kind of is. Next post will be a granny fest. Ah, feels great. Continue reading

At least what I mean is catching up with some of those photo's taken over the summer when I was feeling too ropey to be bothered to blog. Of course now I forget the narrative I had in mind for each photograph. Summer seems like such a long time ago,... Continue reading

You've got me feeling paint brush itchy. I may well abandon the Christmas chutney I was going to make and get on with painting the ever increasing stash of stuff that needs a revamp. I love your mirrors, I have one from my Grandad, one of the few things I asked to have after he had died. I look into it and feel as though he is just out of view puling a face at me. No other mirror comforts me like that, most have me running for the hills screaming "I need BOTOX NOW!!" Huge congrats on your milestone anniversary, you both look so happy. I hope and pray my husband and I manage to navigate this life together and stay as happy as we are now. There is so much divorce around me these days. You have offered inspiration and hope, thank you x x x x x x

Isn't there a video on youtube of me doing that? I was 5 months pregnant with Big Cuckoo and singing along to Eminem's "Go Crazy". It's a wonder the little lad didn't jump forth into the world flippin the bird! Oh and just incase anyone thinks I was a danger on the road, we were crawling through a carpark and I could see perfectly well out of the legholes. Readers? I only have a couple of regular readers and apart from lovely Sandi I know you all rather well!

... and the lights are low, looking out for a place to goooo" Actually I'm not. I'm happily ensconced on the kitchen sofa with my Big Cuckoo. We are watching Sean Connery as James Bond in Diamonds are Forever. It's a treat for us both, he isn't very cuddly these... Continue reading

I don't mind these dark evenings. Not at all. In fact I look forward to the clocks going back an hour in the autumn. To me this spells cosying up in front of the fire under a blanket (maybe even my GRANNY blanket, more about that later), warm drinks, hearty... Continue reading
