I enjoy it when you remind people that you're actually a whip-smart sonofabitch who could have chosen to do any number of things but decided to go with comedy. This was very well-said.

When the Twilight Entertainment Phenomenon first slithered its sparkly, depressive, purple-cloaked way into your teen's head, what were you doing, Danger Pals? Were you tweeting the deets? Were you raping your neighbors' ears with Jimmy Buffet again? Is it always Margaritaville Time around your home or do you sometimes switch it up with some lullabies by Sweet Baby James while you toke like you did when the mullet was unironically epic? Because I tell you one and all, now, my Danger Pals, that you must all be high to have lived with such a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER beneath your... Continue reading

The horrible image is available all over the Web -- it tends to stay with you, don't it? As for you -- due to the minimalist brilliance of your screen name and your avatar photo, you get a pass. I picked on Gawker because I could, but people live-blogging on Twitter or Tumblr are actually far more obnoxious. It just would have made an already-long entry written under the influence of cough syrup and peyote that much longer to delve into those things. I really had to follow through the whole smoking/spanking thing, too. Seriously, though, your comment is greatly appreciated and if you like this post, I'm working on more, trying to make it a thing. I'd love it if you saw fit to pass the link around. Many thanks, MisterHippity. (Which I always pronounce 'hipp-i-TIE' in my head.)
The Dangerist submits to you now, Danger Pals, that live-blogging a television broadcast, in particular one that was taped and prepared for air in advance, is one of the greatest dangers facing our culture today. There are numerous perpetrators of this unnatural and deeply pointless act, but one of the worst offenders is the Internet Cyber WebSite, The Internet Age has whelped our latest insidious evil: the live-blog. More specifically in this instance, "live-blogging" television programming. Gawker is a Weblog upon which people cut and paste text from other sources before criticizing that text or analyzing it in what... Continue reading

Meet Satan's latest plot to destroy all humanity through our children: Zhu Zhu Pets. Yes, Danger Pals, once again America is under siege, and once again, the True Danger this holiday season comes in a seemingly innocent, furry, absolutely adorable package! When will we stanch this flow of big-eyed plush poison into our stores and make Christmas safe for the children again? The cuddly-wuddly widdle cutesie-wootsie Zhu Zhu Pets are not the first such phenomenon to strike at the heart of the American household. America has a rich and tragic history of widdle baby cuties waiting to sink their fangs... Continue reading
