I don't think anything would be that different. Essentially, I'm saying that people already act like they do on the Internet in "real life". Now, what does that say about day-to-day people? Or even, what does that say about the Internet? The Internet world and our world aren't that dissimilar, in my opinion.

Affirmation that I am capable of executing a task or completing a project independently and competently. Passion also gives me motivation to indulge in activities that I greatly enjoy, such as snowboarding and writing. External support of any kind and in any amount solidifies my belief that I am capable of anything I put my mind to and should go for it, no matter its irrelevance to financial success, societal importance or innovativeness. Fear, I think, drives people to try harder, but I think it is an instigator rather than a factor in inspiration.
