My Diabetes And The Apostle Paul
I'm not the holy person of God, the Apostle Paul was. No, far, far, far from it. I think God knocked me over the head with my rarely felt emotion of anger to get me to do what I had to do so he could bring to pass some of the other prayers I've been praying. A cure for diabetes would be a plus … but maybe he needs to reach others through me. Continue reading

I'm very glad you enjoyed this post. I know of many people who also rely on citrus and Vitamin C. Personally, I don't do a lot of citrus because I'll often get a canker sore. Otherwise, I would turn to it more.

Yes, I did. My foot was sore and sometimes swollen for quite some time after the operation. It helped to prop my foot up on a pillow at night. I figured they probably weren't exactly gentle removing the toe and I just gave it time to heal. I added lavender essential oil to my foot lotion and that really helped with the soreness.
“We need to amputate your great toe on your left foot.”
“We need to amputate your great toe on your left foot.” I remember thinking it's not so great is you need to take it off, but that was my reality just a week into my diabetes diagnosis. My world changed in that moment. I get a lot of questions about my toe amputation. So as the 5th anni...
I was very depressed and I blamed myself for everything. I had a lot of "How could I let this happen?" thoughts. I eventually came to terms with it and let that go. It took a lot of inner work to do that though.

My Diabetic Eye Exam Results
My diabetic eye exam went well. I was very nervous about seeing the ophthalmologist for the first time. It wasn’t so much a fear of the exam as much of fearing what he might find. You hear so many horror stories in relation to diabetes and eyesight. The diabetic eye exam went like this … ...
Blister Freak Out - A Diabetic's Fear

Losing A Toe
I can't even begin to describe to you how it feels to have lost a toe. It was an insult to injury moment for me when the wound surgeon sat at the edge of my bed telling me my left big toe needed to come off. Having diabetes was bad enough. He wanted to do it at that very moment. I wasn't ...
After my amputation I tried orthopedic shoes and hated, hated, hated them. I started wearing Crocs and I've worn them almost exclusively ever since. I've found that Crocs are always adding new styles and they all aren't the ugly beach ones. But, I'm happy as a lark in those too. When I try other shoes it seems to spell trouble for me.

I am so glad that you made the connection. My intuition was strong that it was the Metformin so I did my own round of investigating when it was happening to me. Mine literally smelled like urine. I knew they couldnt be good for me. Once I changed pharmacies, my hives went away too.
Heres to your health!

My Not So Merry Season Of Metformin It's been awhile since my last post, but I've been going through a not so merry season with Metformin. I'm writing about it because I suspect many of you may have or are going through the same thing with no idea of the cause. This started in August for m...
You could try experimenting with some vinegar and Stevia to get the perfect flavor for you. For a creamier bbq sauce you could also try some plain Greek yougurt and whip it all together.

How To Use A Serenity Loom
If you have a serenity loom, consider yourself lucky. As I was looking for this video I found out that the Serenity Loom is no longer in production. However, this is a good video for those of us who have one. I haven't mastered mine yet. I find it a little awkward. Maybe this will make it...
Its one of those recipes you can play with and make it your own. :-)
