ACC doesn't have enough power. Who do they have? FSU, UM, VT, Clemson. No one else has had a sustainable future. It's not their fault. Mostly their geography. FL, Virigina, and the Carolinas are fertile ground, so it's easy for the top tier to stay top tier. You look at SEC and they have GA, AL, MO, TX, FL, Carolinas. Exposure is huge in CFB. Recruits love FSU and UM when they're winning and it's why they'll always be the bread and butter. But if UM was doing what they did in the Big East, now? They'd be in Louisville or Boise's shoes.
On top of that, these lower tier teams are not strong. BC might compete with mid tier SEC teams, but the rest of ACC would get crushed. Maryland will be middle of the pack in Big12...
SEC isn't going anywhere. For an ACC team to come out and go to NCCG, they need an undefeated season.

Kind of annoying when someone says something that doesn't make sense, then just moves on.
These quotes are cool. I can only guess that the Noles feel the same exact thing. UM playing to be recognized, FSU playing to be in Pasadena. That's a pretty substantial difference.
