Please scroll to end of the post for updated information about backing up your content. How would you feel and what would you do if you lost all your blog posts? Of if all the content you posted on Facebook disappeared because your account was hacked? I know this seems obvious, but I frequently encounter people who are not backing up their content and databases on a regular basis. I just love this photo...we so rarely get snow here in Western Washington that it is such a delight when we do. I always grab my camera and head out to see what I can find through my lens. This is an old maple tree in our lower pasture that has the tire swing on it. It is a favorite of all the kids and it makes me smile every time I look out the window and see it...even when its all lonely in the first snow of the season. I've been interviewed twice in the last week for articles in trade magazines - one for restaurants and the other for optical professionals in Canada - about using online marketing and social media for locally based businesses (bricks and mortar stores). I tell them if their ideal client/customer/diner/patient cannot find them on the web, it's like they don't exist.
