I've been shooting quite a bit using a DJI Mavic drone recently - it's particularly interesting to have a totally new set of options in terms of camera angle, and it's great for super-wide framing shots without requiring you go hike up a mountain or something to get enough height... Honestly, I was far more focused on experiencing Burning Man than photographing it; I had my Fuji x100t with me, but I wasn't letting it determine where or when I went to experience the immensity of this event. Still, it's hard to go to Burning Man and not come away... Continue reading

Shot with the Fuji x100T, still my current favorite. Oysters on the half shell from Hog Island Oyster Farm. And here's a great article on why we now can eat oysters in months that don't end in "R". Continue reading

Just a few shots taken with the Fujifilm X100T while up in Bend for the holidays on an unseasonably warm year. (Most years there would be a foot of snow or more on the ground.) It's a lovely little camera for travel that takes some fantastic images. I just wish... Continue reading

Olympus OM-D E-M5, 20mm lens, 1/90 at f/6.7, 200 ISO I didn't walk out the door intending to go here, and I just about missed the sunset entirely. (Today's lesson - nothing's more useless than being 5 minutes late to a sunset.) As it was, I only had a minute... Continue reading

Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2.0 Historically, I've been more inclined towards wide angle and normal lenses than telephotos.
