Interesting overview & analysis. Netapp has indeed been a true innovator. What I'm missing something about Data Protection beyond RAID. Many agree that RAID will not be able to provide sufficient availability & reliability levels. Erasure coding and dispersed/distributed storage are growing in popularity.
