The main issue for me here is that the Internet has thrived because of, not in spite of, the lack of governmental intervention. Once government gets involved, it advocates on behalf of its own interests, which almost never benefits the consumer. I much prefer the consumer to have the choice of which sites have top priority, rather than our government. That’s something I’d like to stay away from, so I cannot support the legislation of “net neutrality” provisions.
