Apparently chess is a better sport than I thought! Hanging out and helping out at our school's chess tournament ended up being good for steps and calories too! (Plus I have to admit it's really fun! Not exciting, not monumental, but very,very good for me. (I think I'll arrange something like this more often!) We slept in a bit til almost 8am...stayed in bed for a lil' bit and just talked. So nice to have a quiet start to the morning. (But we missed church!) Then we attacked house projects for a couple great to work together and get our house back in a little order after a crazy busy week. Came home from sweet neighbor had my boys...I had about 30 minutes til I needed to pick them up. And I was yawning. Hmmm...a nap? How 'bout that workout I promised myself today? So I went and enjoyed the beautiful weather...25 minutes later, I was back home and happy. A little sweaty but very happy. Picked the kids up and headed to Trader Joe's...a sweet and simple evening. ...add up to many steps! Or calories for that matter! So why was I huffing and puffing so much? Dragged my lil' ones around tonight to do errands and then still convinced them that I really, really needed to run (they actually are interested in the whole "step" thing so maybe that's what got them?). Anyway, so I arrive at the gym eager to get some good running into my day (which equates to LOTS of steps, right?)...but alas, every single treadmill is taken. So I drag myself onto the Stairmaster. Lesson learned today re. my BodyBugg. I love, love my Body Bugg only loves me when I wear it. Didn't put my BodyBugg on today...not even sure why. (Maybe I anticipated being a pretty lazy day? I am back East and well, I used the snow outside as an excuse to stay inside chatting with Mary and Bennett. The kids enjoyed hanging in their PJs today just playing around at Grandma Mary's house...a very sweet day.) Today was an AWESOME day! Started with an early church service, off for a walk, back to home and walk kids to birthday party in the neighborhood, take advantage of child free time with a run with Jim, off to Trader Joe's, then a "soup swap" party with girlfriends (so fun!), dinner at home with Erin and kiddos, put kids to bed, a little work on the computer, a few minutes on the Wii.... So happy to be back at work today! The flexibility of my new business is pretty sweet. I love the gals I work with and was so impressed with all they managed while I was away. They rocked it!
