I don't have a landline. I do have a cell phone, but it's not one of the fancy iPhone variety; it's a cheap phone with a pay-as-you-go plan. I hardly ever use the phone anyway. But there are alternatives to Google/Apple's Big Brotherism that don't mean having a phone attached to the wall. There are reasons to have a landline, though. For example, for a dedicated fax line. Another is supposedly for in case the power goes out (make sure your land phone isn't an electric one); I will tell you though that my land line phone went out after Hurricane Charley passed through Orlando, where I was living at the time. It did come back on, but there are cases where land phones can be taken out just like cell phones (which won't work if a natural disaster damages the cell phone towers in the area).
Is he at least good-looking? (Looks) No, not really. I mean, he's okay, but I don't see anything there worth renting out for even five minutes. What can I say, I'm picky. (In the New Regime, all "sex workers" will be just "sort of okay-looking." Can't have any competition, you know.)

I was just thinking of that scene in Dr. Zhivago! Gosh, I remember when the way the communists forced people out of their homes and took them over was one of the things that every freedom-loving person in the West hated about the communists. Oh, wait...

"Maybe it’s partly because when they move they look vaguely like hands." I think it's more because the look like spiders.
