Hey Everyone! Welcome to 2010! This is going to be a GREAT year. Tonight I went to my friends new years party and we played a game called hand and foot while I drank some awesome chai from An Afternoon to Remember. My friend gave me a tree shaped sugar cube from a box she had been holding on to for five years. I felt very honored. What are your new years resolutions? Continue reading

I just bought tea online for the first time at Adagio. I'm going to explain why I bought from them instead of one of their competitors. I live in Hawaii. Shipping prices for Hawaii suck. Really suck. I put some tea in my shopping cart from an un-named competitor and it was going to cost me 24 bones to ship. 24 DOLLARS TO SHIP TEA! The competitor also didn't ship to PO boxes, which was another downside to me because I can't get mail at my physical address. Adagio was more than glad to ship to my PO box. Instead... So I was getting hungry and I thought of the perfect meal. (well, maybe not perfect) I boiled some water in a pot on the stove because I couldn't find a tea kettle. If someone wants to send me a tea kettle, here is a my address. Anyway, I took some tea bags(that i reviewed here) and threw them in the pot. When the water was done boiling I put some oatmeal into a nice wooden bowl (unfortunately, all I had was maple nut. I don't like nuts in oatmeal) and then added the tea. Here is a video of... This post is in honor of my favorite tea. I like to call him Chai. I recently learned (within the last couple months) that chai literally means "tea" in Hindi. I am surprised that when people simply order "chai" in a restaurant, the waiter doesn't just bring them out a random tea. The "correct" term for chai is masala chai. which means "spiced tea". I have invented a drink at starbucks called "The Chailer". This drink consists of a (masala)chai tea latte with two shots of espresso, no water, and optionally some caramel drizzle. Try it sometime. It tastes good... Continue reading

Camellia sinensis plant, with cross-section of the flower (lower left) and seeds (lower right). I am a newbie to tea. I think that is what makes this blog so awesome. You, as the reader, get to learn along with me as I learn more and more about this thousands of year old beverage. Today in my tea research I learned that the majority of tea types, such as black tea, oolong tea, green tea and white tea, come from one species; Camellia sinensis. I knew there were "tea leaves" but I was uncertain that the majority of teas came from... Continue reading

So tonight, while I was thinking about tea, I thought to myself... It would be cool to see what tea with a little bit of liqueur in it would taste like. Not sooner than a few hours later, I stumble upon Tea Forte's Cocktail Infusions. From their site: "Become a master mixologist at home and create naturally infused exotic cocktails. It's fresh, it's fun, it's creative and it's entertaining! Our new Cocktail Mixology Set will give you the tools you need to infuse the perfect cocktail in your home. Place an infuser into one of our Infusion Chambers, pour alcohol... Continue reading

This is the inaugural blog post of Everyone Loves Tea. I just finished Gary Vaynerchuk's book Crush It and was inspired to start crushing it on one of my passions; tea. Tonight (this morning actually) I am reviewing a tea that I found in my cupboard. It is called Rejuvenation Tea from Maui Sun Tea Co. It's caffeine free and sugar free, but still manages to have an intrinsic sweetness to it. It says that it helps with throat and lung congestion. The ingredients are lemon grass, oatstraw, mullein, cinnamon, licorice, and stevia. Definitely a good tea to just drink... Continue reading
