I agree 100% that the .CO launch is wrong in every way. People will always look down upon any .CO owner because there will always be a never ending suspicion that it was registered to take advantage of the .COM version. And that means .CO owners will have to justify themselves til eternity. .COM also means Company/Corporation, so how will .CO ever respectably distinguish itself to put an end to the never ending suspicions? Maybe if it was .INC that could have worked in terms of respect, but not in terms of registration volume which would still make it a challenge for its survival.
