We may not like it, but CMD is right. It f$#king sucks... but he is right. SOUP, give me a couple days and I will have a blog for you
He said after practice he felt he needed to work on the accuracy of his deeps throws and that he felt if he hit on those the game would of been out of reach. So he is saying the right things...we will see

If Perry can get those deep throws down he would take a huge step forward and we will win a lot of gsmes.

I'm going to disagree with you TSully.. while I don't see Perry as a Tom Brady or close, I do think he is definitely better then Williams. I think if he is the starter from day one we are 5-1 or 6-0 right now. We don't have a good enough OL or D (at least the first few games) to simply have a game manager at QB. Completing 70% of passes don't mean much if none are over 10 yards lol. He is just too scared to pull the trigger and cannot make the plays Perry does. With the weapons around him and our schedule, Perry give a us a much better chance to win in my opinion.

Please NO POLITICS... Canespace is not for the left or right, its just for Canes. Just putting it out there before the comments start rolling in.

Enos was the OC at Arkansas, so he has OC experience. I still believe he is a upgrade over Richt and so only get better. He has the worst OL in the Power 5.

Windy... unless Williams is hurt still, Perry won't be playing. Sadly CMD has already said Williams is still the started. I do think he is a little too obsessed with us having "the guy" at QB.

If Williams plays we lose. I'm not saying Perry is all world, but if Williams was playing he takes a sack on the TD screen to DJ, doesn't covert the 4th and 7 and takes a sack on the play Perry scored on. Perry missed a few deep passes that would of been scores, Enos can help with that, but Williams either is to scared to make those throws or doesn't step up in the pocket to be able to.

All valid points SOUP ...im choosing to look at it the other way for now.

ETC what worried me about the CM game was our lack of adjustment after our first drive. Idk if there is truth to williams being hurt that game, but after the first drive we couldn't do nothing. Perry might throw a couple picks but he will actually throw the ball downfield and make plays.

Gin, I'm not saying I don't have any issues with them lol... just saying I don't think CMD is a complete failure just yet. I think Enos is somewhat handicapped with a QB that holds the ball until the WR is 10 yards open and frantically waving his hands and an OL that can't block my local HS team. I believe he is a huge upgrade from Richt still. Maybe Perry will provide that spark. Honestly after the spring game I was left a bit dumbfounded that Williams was the starter.

About 7-8 years ago I was considered the negative Nancy on the blog and caught hell for being one of the first to turn on Golden... but ima so the opposite here with CMD. I'm not sure why we all thought we would go from 7-6 to 11-1 with no clear QB, all new schemes and coaches, POS OL and losing tons of talent on D. We lost Willis, Jackson, M. Jackson, JJ, Redwine etc. If I'm not mistaken CMD didn't recruit a single one of the guys on the OL. I think he and Enos were honest when they said they didn't know if their QB was on campus yet. Even with the worst OL in the Power 5 and an incapable QB, we still only lost to top 10 Florida and UNC by a combined 7 points and had a chance to win both games. We are still one play away in each of our losses from being 5-0. It's very possible that if we had a slightly better OL and started Perry we would be 5-0 and a top 20 team. Not sure how this season plays out, but I think we are closer then we think.

Ima go a different direction then most spacers and say I don't things are all that bad. We are 7 points away from being 2-0 and ranked inside the top 20. We are one single play away in each of those 2 games. When we start making those plays, we will win. I honestly don't know why we thought we would go 11-1 or 10-2 a year after 7-6. We went 7-6 with better players IMO. Outside of Bandy we lost our entire secondary. We lost an All-American in Willis, lost Jackson, JJ etc. That is a lot of talent on the D side of the ball, then add new DC and position coaches etc. I just dont think the sky is falling just yet. Correct a couple things and we are there. Williams has at least proven he wont lose us the game, but he needs to make plays. My fat ass could of walked in that 2 point conversion. You got to get that 4th and 1. But I think that will come. Still a whole new offense. Still got freshman and busts on the OL etc. We did improve from the first game. I think we need these next two games to get ourselves going, gain confidence and get some wins. And I love my boy TSully, but CMD is no Shannon.

SOUP, on those highlights we are toss sweeps to Hester.. would be great to see with Thomas, Homer, Dallas etc. I hate that we have absolutely zero creativity on offense. We are wasting a champion defense and tons of talent on offense.

In that first half I started to think Perry was looking a lot like the guy he replaced. But after stepping back and looking he only made 3 bad/off throws. Cager dropped 3 balls he definitely should of caught and we have 2 pass interference calls against FSU. On those slants Perry places the ball perfectly in the gut. With Perry and our weapons I don't understand why we aren't scoring more easily. Wish we would bring back the stretch run play. We are very predicable, too predictable. Same formation constantly. We do not utilize our weapons. We only call good plays when desperate.

That kid is going to Auburn. We are stacked at WR..besides he runs a 4.57 lol
I respectfully second the epi request.
Mike Smith has been a pleasant surprise this year.
