Day 133
Please excuse the screen in this photo. Our driveway was recently resurfaced. It looks very pretty, but oh the fumes. I have been nauseous and headachey since it happened. Hopefully the impending rain will wash away the smell? Continue reading

Day 119
Cash got to volunteer at a dog festival for a couple of hours and in the process met a new friend. His name is Fregory and he looks quite similar to Cash. They are even about the same age, and according to his foster mom, have similar obnoxious spirited behavior.... Continue reading

Day 115
My birthday is the day before my anniversary. This is not a good idea and I strongly encourage others to not repeat my mistake. I have found it is easier to celebrate my birthday a couple days early so that I am not 'under the weather' on my anniversary. This... Continue reading

Day 114
Somehow the ceramic top to my toilet broke in half and tried to cut my finger off in the process. The hows of the situation are still a bit unclear. As far as I was aware, my hand was nowhere near the toilet lid as it fell but clearly this... Continue reading

Day 103
I saw this mail in offer on the side of the Milk Bone box and it made me think of my grandfather. He sent in for every mail in offer and rebate he came across. He often made up names to redeem the same offers. So when I saw this,... Continue reading

Day 97
There is no way this product will be around very long. It tastes just like Velveeta Shells and Cheese but WAY MORE WORK. You have to make a bechamel sauce with the "seasoning" (otherwise known as flour) packet provided and then mix the cheese sauce with it before adding the... Continue reading

Day 96
The one thing I am learning most through this project is how boring consistent my life has become. I haven't posted a photo everyday because my life is pretty much the dog or the horse. We are working on the dog though. He flips out when he is alone. So... Continue reading

Day 83
These are rollerblade prints in the sidewalk. They make me smile everytime I walk over them. But in a bittersweet sort of way. When I was about 13 I got my first pair of rollerblades. Black orange and purple, I loved them. The neighborhood kids and I would spend tons... Continue reading

Day 78
I looked in the back seat of my car and saw this. It is what is most often in my backseat. Or a giant dog. It made me smile a bit because that pretty much sums up my life. Horses and giant dogs. And I am ok with that. Continue reading

Day 77
This was a busy day. I took Cash to meet my mom's dog and they got a long well. But there was a visiting dog and Cash really liked her. Pretty much everywhere he went, she would go too. He is also trying to fit into a tiny cat bed.... Continue reading

Day 76
This tree looks like it should be in a Dr. Seuss story. The photo does not show it as well as in person, but it is very floppy looking and the top has sort of flopped over too. In the winter it is especially amusing. Continue reading

Day 73
Last fall I awoke to jackhammers and made the assumption it was occuring at a different house. This, like most assumptions, was erroneous. Imagine my surprise when I came downstairs to discover my patio was gone. A couple days later it returned just as mysteriously, but at a cost. The... Continue reading

Day 72
I really like pink trees. I believe this is for two reasons. 1) I really like pink. 2) I had a pink tree outside of my bedroom window as a child that I loved spending time in. It was the perfect climbing tree for me. I am not really a... Continue reading

Day 70
We took Cash to a greyhound playdate with 26 other greyhounds. He did really well except for the constant harassment of the black houndies. He did some running, but mostly he and everyone else did this: When we got home we realized how greyhound friendly our house is. It is... Continue reading

It was rather lovely out so foster dog Buck and I took a walk and found Patrick on his porch. We hung out for a bit and while there, I noticed this lovely pink tree. I love pink. Upon returning home I could not find my black cat. I eventually... Continue reading

Day 67
We have a pointless fence in front of our patio. Last year the rails fell out of one of the posts and they haven't been repaired. I kind of like it that way. Deconstructed can be cool. Finally we have flowers and colors too. Continue reading

Day 66
There is a financially ruinous trifecta far too close to my house. Costco, Target and Petsmart. Look at it looming there. It is alarming how much I can spend in those 3 stores. My whole front seat was consumed by purchases! Admittedly, one of the purchases was a huuuge dog... Continue reading

Day 63
Greyhound pajamas will never stop being amusing. Greyhounds have a kind of silly look to them anyway so the pajamas just augment that. I sometimes walk him with the pajamas on because i'm too lazy to take them on and off. But Brian still feels it is too embarassing. I... Continue reading

Tam O'Shanter
Tam o'shanter is my favorite word. I have a lovely story about that, but it has nothing to do with why I haven't posted any photos. That would be directly related to procrastination. And perhaps a little stagnation. It's hard to come up with a photo every day, when often... Continue reading

Day 59
April is Adopt a Greyhound month. In celebration of that, a bunch of people took their greyhounds to Culvers. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy. But other than that it was a fun night. Buck fell in love with 2 girl greyhounds. He ignored the boys. Buck is in... Continue reading

That is so wonderful to hear! She was such a sweetheart, always happy to see people, but would only come upstairs to sleep with us. Such a silly, sweet girl, glad she found her real forever home!! :)
Day 17
This is Blue Sky Dreamin'. She is 3 and a half and a very good racer. She is very different than the other greys because she is much more aloof. She is very sweet and happy but prefers to be downstairs while we are upstairs. Hopefully in time she will learn to love being with people.
