Trump is not serious about any policy he supports or discourages. His views against Globalism is contrary to his position on isolationism or unilateralism, so it is with his position on the second amendment right (issue on gun control)- where he says he wishes to give security to all by giving 'all' the right to own a gun which is contrary to the fact that because of such lack of control as regards gun ownership in America, there is an escalation in gun violence. Although it is quite hard to say, where does he come up with such illogical arguments, it is clear that he is not quite sure of his stance in the first place. When he gets into trouble, like this week where the poll showed that Hillary is ahead of Trump, his friends and family members prepared him a well-edited speech on what will an impressive US economic policy look like? If the journalists, post his edited and managed speech asked him specific questions, he would certainly enter into a new controversy (due to the simple fact that he is not prepared as he has not given much thought on what does it all mean for a nation like the US at large?). The only lesson one can learn from this fiasco is that public servants (at least those being promoted to the level of Presidents) in today's time should be able to qualify a certain standard to be able to understand and relate to a range of basic issues confronting all countries like: National Security, Economy and Law & Order before being considered to run for a public office. This will bring back some dignity to the very character of the public office in question. Hillary surely needs to come up with a clear and certainly logical economic policy as she has not given it much emphasis as she has given to issues relating to law & order in the US. This lack of emphasis and clarity to outline the national economic policy by the Dems will work in favor of Trump, indirectly.
