On your claim that the woman defendant got away with hitting the man, I don't remember the case to know what was said about that, the context and whether its a he said, you said thing, i.e. whether what you said was actually proven. So I am not sure what to say, except, on your general principle, if a woman commits a unlawful battery (battery not warranted by a defense, such as self-defense) should it be treated as a battery. Yes. I agree with that. I am not sure how that issue relates with keying the car, in case you think their should be a connection. As far as checking one's significant other's phone messages, I am not quite sure that a man would be condemned for checking his girl friend's messages and finding she was cheating. If you are saying that Judge Judy treats women better than men, I am not sure about that. Check the archive of bad Judge Judy and I particularly remember one case where I felt Judge Judy treated a woman's claim atrociously and negligently over a car. And just the other day, I saw Judge Judy rediculously dismiss a woman's claim for $1,000, despite clear contradicting confession by the man, who's testified the money was to be paid back. The woman also made conflicting remarks indicating the loan was actually an investment. In such case, my understanding of contract law 101, such totally conflict testimony of the terms show that there was no contract as there was no "meeting of minds," i.e. the parties never made a mutual agreement. However, instead of noting that the evidence clearly showed the two parties had two totally conflicting understanding of what the contract was, Judge Judy just focused on the woman's contradiction to decide it was an investment and not a loan despite the man's testimony that the money was to be paid back (though he was arguing particularly onerous terms, money was to be paid back if his venture was profitable, i.e. cake and eat it too contract borrowing concepts of loans and investment).
