This might explain a few things about Chick-fil-a. This article was from May of this year: Last week, Business Insider sat down with Rodney Bullard in Chick-fil-A's Atlanta, Georgia, headquarters to discuss the chain's approach to charitable giving. Bullard is the vice president of corporate social responsibility at Chick-fil-A as well as the executive director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation. Bullard told Business Insider in an interview published on Tuesday that he could foresee the charity working side-by-side with an LGBTQ organization benefiting juveniles if the partnership was both "impactful and ... authentic." Bullard, who attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and served as a White House fellow under former President Barack Obama, joined the company in 2011.

This will be our first Thanksgiving at home. For 30 years we have traveled to Tennessee to spend it with my husband's family. I'm sure we will go another year but just couldn't do it this time. I'm planning to cook a similar menu to MM's with a few "keto friendly" additions. Smoked turkey (already ordered from our best local BBQ spot. We have to designate a one hour window to pick it up on Wed. - they are that popular.) cornbread dressing giblet gravy sweet potato casserole deviled eggs roasted vegetables (brussel sprouts, cauliflower, carrots, radishes) homemade cranberry relish pecan pie pumpkin pie (sugar-free)

I've known the Cathy family all of my life. I went to elementary school with Dan Cathy and graduated with his wife, Rhonda. Mr. Cathy used to come to our farm every Saturday for months and pick up big rocks that he transported to their church's building site. They were used as building materials for part of the foundation. He and my father were friends for years. I cannot imagine what led them to make this decision. I am certain that Truett would be appalled. I feel very betrayed and disappointed. I sent Dan Cathy a private message hoping he will reconsider.

OT but I just love this! November 11, 2019. At age 93, HM Queen Elizabeth II was photographed horseback riding on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

MM - From your 9:32 post - this is what the President was referencing: Matthew Dowd @matthewjdowd Hey @EliseStefanik I just want to apologize for a tweet that is being misinterpreted. I didn’t mean to suggest you were elected only because you were a woman or a millennial. I deleted the tweet.

As an Auburn fan let me ask for prayers for the Alabama quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa who has been airlifted to Birmingham with a serious injury. From the scant reports I could find, some mentioned it could be the same injury that Bo Jackson suffered. Let us all pray that this is not the case. His hip is injured but also bleeding from his nose.

I also think she fails to appreciate how differently her mind works from being well read and well travelled rse - I like to see that term "well read". I used it this week as I was explaining to my 9th-grade males why we require that they read Jane Austen!

Finally caught up on everyone's comments. Nothing to add about the impeachment circus. I thought some of you might enjoy this sweet true story about Truett Cathy. https://thechickenwire.chick-fil-a.com/Inside-Chick-fil-A/You-take-this-house-and-Ill-take-yours?utm_source=promo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=111219_CFA_210227_NovemberBrand&utm_content=C1

Excellent point: BraveHeart @Braveheart_USA Think about this for a moment... We are paying 535 members of Congress Millions to do nothing. We are paying @realDonaldTrump nothing to do everything.

As always, Clarice, thank you for your excellent column that lays out so many of the important points. I often feel that the overload of information is just swirling around in my brain. I picture some of those detective shows where they have a huge wall that is pinned with thousands of clues - pieces of paper, photos, etc. Clarice takes all of those and boils them down for us into an understandable piece each week. It helps me tremendously!

JMH - Still steaming from this comment "Perdue has his work cut out for him in this demographically shifting state. He needs to turn out rural, conservative voters who are loyal to the president, while not turning off well-educated, suburban voters repelled by Trump." What about well-educated suburban voters who love Trump? Just so pathetic... Not sure how things will shake out in Georgia. I'm sure the Dems will pour $ into Ga. with an open seat at stake. I'm fairly confident Alabama will replace Doug Jones.

I never have to search for the Trump rally links thanks to you, MM. Did anyone else hear Rush today? He was playing clips of (I think NBC) trying to interview people outside of the DC bubble who were focused on impeachment. I'll just say they weren't successful.
