there is now a HUGE homeless camp on buford hwy
I imagine now that our useless governor and other elected officials have been exposed as dems in sheep's clothing - more and more disorder and lawlessness will erupt undeterred.

The Wapo: Six hours of paralysis: Inside Trump’s failure to act after a mob stormed the Capitol Hiding from the rioters in a secret location away from the Capitol, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) appealed to Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser. Sen. ...
Gus - So sorry to hear about Father Brundage! He was so young...prayers for all who knew and loved him.
MM - I also enjoyed "North and South" starring one of my favorite actors, Richard Armitage. He is also a wonderful narrator and I've been known to purchase audible books just because he's reading them.

Such a legitimate election we need to prevent Americans from flying while the new president is sworn in
While surrounded by 20,000 soldiers
Nothing to see here

A man charged in Capitol siege, Christopher Stanton, has committed suicide at his home in Georgia.
Georgia’s wife provided gruesome details to cops and said she was searching for a gun.
Police reportedly confiscated two semi-automatic SKS rifles from Georgia’s home.
Sooo - he shot himself in the chest with a SKS rifle which his wife could not immediately find. He was being fined $1,000 or max 180 days in jail for "attempting to "enter certain property, that is, the United States Capitol Grounds, against the will of the United States Capitol Police,” the police report states. " May not even have gone inside from the wording.
Would you imagine someone would commit suicide rather than pay a $1,000 fine? Here is a photo of his home.
Jim Geraghty On Impeachment
Strong stuff from Jim Geraghty.
The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for the Justice Department to carry out the first execution of a female death-row inmate in almost seven-decades.
2 other executions set for later this week were halted because the inmates tested positive for COVID-19
So...do they think they might just pass away from Covid and save them the effort? Are they afraid the executioners would be exposed? Is it inhumane to execute someone who has the virus?

I have never seen the shooter identified. Think of the outrage if a BLM member were murdered in a like manner. We'd know their name, address, where their kids go to school, and the media would be camped out in front of their home 24/7!

Have at it.
Me, either, Jane...just here reading and trying to grasp what is happening!

I also like Brussels sprouts roasted with garlic and olive oil - but they must be a bit crispy
If the individual leaves get really crispy they are almost like potato chips! (Keto tip)
Lots Going On
Its a beautiful day outside.
rse - Same here as my tree is quite crispy! I'm considering waiting until tomorrow when it should be in the '50s - it's only 37 degrees and windy right now.
We use lots of lights and remove them outside to reduce needle fall-out. So, it takes a bit of time.
My bird feeders are very popular today because of the wind and colder temperature.

I'm thinking of starting a hand-written diary this year. I previously thought that if any of my great, great-grandchildren cared to delve into my thoughts and beliefs, they could easily search online. Now, I have no assurance that will be the case. So, I'm having to consider whether to use cursive as it is being erased from our educational system. I can write faster than I can print!
Happy Birthday, Marlene!

Whoa! My goodness... I think it's time for me to go cook and turn on some good music.

So sorry to hear about Scrubs! You gave him a wonderful life, TK as evidenced by his happy photos.
My co-worker is putting down their little Gizmo today; a 17-year-old rescue Maltese that I kept a few times when they went out of town.
Another teacher brought her flowers and chocolates yesterday. Her daughter was taking Gizmo for a last meal at Chick-fil-a which is his favorite treat.
Seems doom and gloom are today's menu.

Trump did not create his tidal wave of support. He rode it. All those people are still there.
Forgive the length of this poem but it sort of supports that sentiment.( This is borrowed from another poster online.)
In the forest,
in a cave,
Lived a bear,
fearsome and brave,
Until Lord and craven knave,
To destroy him, hatched a plot,
They were warned
“Don’t poke the bear”
He slumbers deep,
within his lair,
Don’t rouse him from his snoring there,
But again they would listen not,
With pointed stick,
and heavy rod,
Into his sanctum,
slowly trod,
Then with a swift,
and deadly prod,
They thrust with everything they’d got,
Then suddenly,
he ceased his snores,
Rose up and,
with a fury roared,
Though bloody from
the hole they gored,
Away their spears he swat,
They tried to keep,
his paws at bay,
Some dropped their arms,
and ran away,
He charged into,
the deadly fray,
And vengeance now, he sought.
Eyes now from
the forest watched,
As flaming arrows then were notched,
The hawk between
a branches crotch,
Cried out as forth they shot,
Into the beast,
their shafts now pierced,
But still he roared,
defiant, fierce,
It echoed, reaching
distant ears,
Fur burning, bright and hot,
His mighty paws,
with rancor slashed,
And through the flames,
his visage flashed,
As spears and blades,
opened a gash,
And blood poured from the spot,
Aflame and flagging,
cornered, pinned,
He stumbled,
and then roared again,
Breathing ragged,
bleeding skin,
The end, or so they thought.
He fell,
and then his mighty roar,
Was silent,
and he moved no more,
and of their vic’try,
they were sure,
A haughty cry rose from the lot,
But their cheers
would quickly die,
As those that slept opened an eye,
And from the forest rose a cry,
Witnesses to the battle fought,
Beast and bird,
lynx, stag, and owl,
Packs of wolves let forth a howl,
And from the dark came caw and growl,
Rest assured,
The forest heard,
Asleep, we’re not

Were they there and not allowed in?
I'm not sure. My son and his wife vote there and didn't see anyone other than poll workers. A poster on FB who lives near one of the precincts stated that he went by a different precinct and there were no poll watchers from either party (around noon on election day.)

The fraud primarily occurred in Fulton county and those involved in perpetrating the fraud intentionally prevented an audit to expose the fraud.
Exactly...and instead of using some of the $$$$ to do something that would help in the run-off (like have Republican poll watchers in Fulton County) - the Ga. GOPe wasted it by filling up my mailbox *daily* with stupid colorful Perdue/Loeffler ads. It was reported that Fulton (where lots of nefarious things happened) did not have a single Republican poll watcher on Tuesday!

MT - I don't remember the Perkins - I was at Auburn in the mid-'70s.
The headlines are "Four dead in Capitol unrest" henry - which sounds better I guess than one killed and 3 died of medical causes.
Porch - that seems like another lifetime when the Antifa types were run out of Auburn because the wearing of masks was not tolerated. They couldn't risk being identified. Ha!

I do not believe Georgians did not vote because of Lin Wood! The majority probably don't know who he is and wouldn't listen to his advice about voting. The only change I saw from the Nov. 3rd stolen election was the elimination of poll watchers (such as Susan Voyles and Bridget Thorne) because they dared to speak out about the corruption. Same corruption system = same corrupt outcome - period.

Does this sound familiar?
UPDATE: just confirmed. Chatham County is done counting votes for the night.
The board of elections annex building is empty. Workers say they’ll be back at 8 a.m.
Still, thousands of votes to be counted here.
This before 11 pm. I can remember working until 2 a.m. or later - we worked until the votes were all counted.

I thought Fulton Co. announced they would not complete counting absentees until tomorrow...Certainly not a solid R and where much of the theft went on Nov 3rd!

Too nervous to watch returns so wishing Robert Duvall a Happy 90th Birthday. My favorite movie of his would have to be "Secondhand Lions!" Would love to have several thousand of those types of guys descend on Washington, D.C. tomorrow.
