~ I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the hummingbirds to come back for the Spring/Summer season! I'm also ready for all the beautiful bright flowers of the season! To hopefully hurry things along, I decided to water color a gorgeous little hummingbird from the Power Poppy Trumpet Vine Visitor stamp set and put him on a water colored background. ~ ~ This card is already on it's way to a sweet someone who is recovering from surgery. I hope it brightens her day! Head on over to the Power Poppy blog to see which of the other... Continue reading

And the Ellen Hutson Mondo Hydrangea worked out perfectly for me! ~ ~ It was super easy to watercolor using the turquoise color as a base and adding in touches of the pink, rust, and magenta. I love big and bold designs! Are you ready to join in the Color Throwdown challenge... Continue reading

~ Happy Friday, everyone! Today I have a cheerful "I can't wait for Spring" card to share with you. I adore this Wildflower Mini digital stamp set from Power Poppy, and it really makes me smile on these dreary rainy days/weeks we've been having in the Southeast. ~ ~ I colored the image with my Copic markers and attached the trimmed image to a panel of lavender cardstock. I then ran the panel through my Big Shot to die cut both layers with my Wonky Rectangles dies from Simon Says Stamp. I added a bit of silver twine and popped... Continue reading

~ It's Wednesday again and time for the latest Color Throwdown challenge! This week our generic colors are Blush, Sage Green, and Gold. ~ ~ What a gorgeous inspiration photo and what a beautiful color palette! I love it! Now...imagine my dilemma...I needed a masculine birthday card, and I thought these colors just screamed femininity!! But I persevered, and I think I did a decent job. Maybe adding the woodgrain background finally convinced me! ~ ~ And even if it still looks fairly feminine, if you state "love you.", it's got to count for something, right? That stag head is...
