Camera on the table, you'd reach over and push timer?? They are great. Indoors or outdoors, I love your photos. I am working with my 50mm lens and f stop, trying to make my photos as pretty as yours. Do you think your shooting in "RAW" and down loading as working on them gives them that beautiful soft look??
Lunch with Annie
For Christmas, each of the kids got a new lunch box with coupons inside that were redeemable for two lunch dates; one with me and one with Josh Downs. All the Lunch-with-Mom coupons were redeemed this week, starting with Annie who chose a picnic lunch down at the park by our house. She asked...
What timing!! Paris in the Spring. Loving my Peace Keeper. Have your children in my thoughts and prayers.
3.11.11 One of those in-between days
I've got lists to keep track of my to do lists but with this day at home and fanciful thoughts of upcoming travel filling my head, I've not done much today but watch the coverage of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I can't imagine the loss and the pain of the people... my heart and prayers g...
You and Cole seem to be communicting better lately. So nice to have one on one time together.
Happy
Saturday, it turned out to be just Coley and I. (Josh was at Guard, Courtney was at her mom's and Annie was staying the night with her cousins.) We decided to run to the coffee shop after Annie left and on the way out the door, I asked Cole if he wanted to bring a book, to which he replied, "N...
I was going to e-mail you about this very subject. Do your photos turn out as good as the photos you publish to your blog? I have not mastered editing in Elements and then getting excellent prints. Something always seems wrong. Certainly going to check out Clean Color. Love you.
Clean Color
That's me, last April sitting at my kitchen table with Erin Cobb, learning (and apparently, very excited) about her editing process. I've said it before, but learning her editing process was revolutionary for me. I had spent so many years working towards creating the best images possible SOOC ...
A wonderful Christmas and a wonderful year. God Bless you and your family....and a Happy New year!! Keep the gorgeous photos coming.
Christmas Programs
With this post, I have officially blogged all of my favorite Christmas photos and events. (A first time feat for me.) That's Courtney Lee in the top row (center.) And Coley in the front row (second from the right.) And thankfully, I took a few pictures of Annie before her Christmas program...

Christmas Evening
I'm on a roll here. Christmas evening at my Uncle Brad's house... My Sister took that one. These two (my sister & cousin) harassed eachother all night. And we all harassed my Dad (who's originally from New Hampshire) about the way he says bothroom (bathroom), quoter (quarter) and plo...
I know anything you design will be great!! When are you posting your 2011 calender? I'm ready, either or both, Scrapbook n Such or Sweet Memories. Only 900 miles apart. LOL
December 13
This is what my work table looks like... I'm surrounded by piles of products... so many possibilities! As usual at this stage of the creating process, I'm feeling overwhelmed, unsure, and insecure. I've done this enough to know that this is just a part of the process and that it will come toge...
Your tree is gorgeous. Now looking forward to seeing the back splash with the beautiful platters. We will be in GA for Christmas and making a visit to Sweet Memories. Hope yor are coming to Wichita Falls in Mar. Judy
December 11
Today I was emptying one last box from the kitchen and family room remodel and emptied a pitcher so I could put it in the dishwasher (continuing from yesterday :) and the funny assortment of things on the left was a treasure-trove, time capsule of my life a few years ago. I just love it... t...
Love the group shots, to me, they are the most important.
Pumpkin Patch
Is it ridiculous that I even bother posting our pumpkin patch photos now that it's nearly Thanksgiving? The problem is that once I get something in this Type A head of mine, I can't get rid of it. And currently, I have it in my head that I'm going to edit/post all the important events I missed ...
Lest' see: South Africa, new kitchen and Florida!! You'll have to add larger book rings to your Pennies From Heaven album. What a great 2010!!
Sun, sand, and sunsets
I can't imagine how many pictures of sunsets I have, but I can never resist taking more! Each sunset is so unique and beautiful. Tonight my mom and I watched the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico... just amazing! I am so blessed to have this time to relax for a few days here in Florida with ...

South Africa: Part 2... Safari
After a busy weekend in Johannesburg, it was time to relax! On Monday, we flew to Port Elizabeth, got our first glimpse of the Indian Ocean, and then headed 90 minutes to Kichaka, our home for the next three days. We headed down a dirt road to reception where we literally signed our ...
I know you are busy, busy. Just heard Bing Crosby singing Pennies From Heaven. Wanted to wish you well on your trip. My husband and I wish we were going. Can't speak to your floor. You do not need any help picking one out. Oh, we can see the famous sink as well. Looking forward to your safari photos when you get back. Have FUN.

When work is play
I had a great time at CHA in Chicago this past week and I'll have pictures of the people I saw and the products I liked in the next few days, but today I wanted to say a huge thank you for a wonderful weekend at Linda and Claudia and all the sweet students at Creative Cuts and Crafts. I didn't e...
Even the Enchanted Forest uses your colors. LOL Would love to be in Oregon where temps aren't suffocating. Most of my photos are "emotionally perfect."
The Enchanted Forest
Josh was out of town (running the Cascade Lakes Relay) but I'd been promising the kids that I would take them to the Enchanted Forest sometime this summer...and last Saturday, I made good on that promise. My Uncle Donnie used to take my sister and I to the Enchanted Forest when we were kids ...
Karen these photos are wonderful. You will let us in on lense, etc. Tell your friend if she ever needs to teach using a wonderfully colored bird. My cousin lives in Kalisprell and raision peacoks. They are gorgeous. Miss you, Judy
Continuing Ed.
Back when I was a dental hygienist, I was fortunate enough to work for a few doctors who made continuing education a high priority. And as funny as it may sound, anytime we attended a continuing education course, I'd have butterflies in my stomach, thinking of how I was going to apply all my new...
Shovel handles DO NOT fit most men's hands. They enjoy most, tools/machines that have motors and especially ones that have steering wheels and motors. So, avoiding rose bushes with a front end loader is not a priority. Seen it all. LOL Your friend in Texas.
He.
He's been up to all sorts of manliness around here... And a couple of my newly planted rose bushes couldn't survive the testosterone.
