Craig, Thanks for spearheading this effort! A professional social marketing association is sorely needed. I would love to be part of this and help in whatever ways I can to make it happen. I'm at your service. Perhaps the Congress could meet in conjunction with the CDC conference in August in Atlanta, which I presume many of the people involved will attend, and which gives enough time for the planning process to play out. This is very exciting!
Hi Wil, I discovered your blog last night (I know, I'm a little late to the party) and came across this entry, which has stuck with me all day long. I am struck by your courage in confronting this long-past incident. I think that most of us, when we recall something that we are not proud of from our past, push the memory out of our heads so we don't have to experience that awful pain of regret gnawing at our stomachs. But you stared your discomfort in the face and came to terms with it, without minimizing or excusing your behavior. In public view, no less. Thank you for reminding me that there is something to be learned from those incidents that I would rather forget, and that it's never too late to make amends.
