Holy Crap it's time for a new episode of Radio Free Burrito! Today, I talked about books, played some music, and rang my podcast bell a few times. Continue reading

Cool! Would you email me your version of the recipe?

Moderation is only to confirm that the commenter is not a spammer or an asshole. I've been blogging for over a decade, and I've only deleted comments because they were spam, excessively creepy, or the commenter was being a dick.

I have, yeah. At the moment, I want to keep everything on my own server.

After a long Exile, I returned home this weekend. Until the heat death of the universe or I stop blogging (whichever comes first), I'll be back at WWdN. Continue reading

Until I make a final post here with a link to the new site, I wasn't going to change the feedburner link. Both links (the new one you've subscribed to and the feedburner link) will work, going forward.

Oh, and that said, Beersmith does a ton of really great stuff, like cloud synching, and the add-on recipe database is fantastic. I understand that it's without equal on the Windows platform (I run it on my mac).

Brewtarget is fantastic, because it's open source and free (as in beer and speech). Beersmith is what all the major brewers use, though, so I needed it for my eventual scaling up to being a nanobrewery and beyond. Congratulations on your first homebrew!

Hmm. The sparge step is a Beersmith screwup; I'll edit that out. It should be about a 1.5 gallon steep and a total 3.5 or so gallon boil, with 1 to 2 gallons top off.

Tomorrow, I'm heading up to Seattle for PAX Prime. This year, I hope to play a shitton of games, both of the Tabletop variety and the Video variety. To accomplish this noble goal, I'm not going to do a ton of signing like I've done in years past. If you're planning to attend, and want to do things with me, or come see me do things, here's my schedule. Continue reading
