Loved reading your re-cap! 2012 was a great year and I'm hoping that we both have great 2013's including Racine! I'm so excited to get to see you and do a (in my opinion) a monumental race together. ~ Jen

Great write up! I can't believe what a hard day you had. I would have cried too when I found out that they lost my special needs bag. Good for you for being able to recognize when you're not feeling well but being able to push through it in a safe manner. I love reading your reports and can relate to so much of it! Enjoy your time will start soon enough.

IMO 15min 1/2 mile swim is not slow at all! I'm usually in the 18min range so I would LOVE a 15 min swim! Sounds like you had a great race and we all need to do a sprint from time to time. They are really fun and let you truly race (not that I'm that competitive either). Can't wait for your next race report!

Love it! Congrats on your 4th Ironman!!! You are amaaaazing. I totally get the hubby yelling crazy stuff that other people wouldn't understand. My hubby would do that. He'd probably also threaten that I won't get any beer if I don't hurry up! :) Can't wait to hear...the rest of the story.

Wow...I didn't know this side of you (fashion and big shoes). By the way you looks gorgeous and you definitely can pull it off. I, on the other hand, would look ridiculous if I tried to wear zebra print and high heels. More power to ya!

I agree on the partying. My perfect day is a good hard long workout/race in the morning, a couple of beers afterwards, and to bed by 9pm to get up and do it all over again! Glad you enjoyed yourself. I gotta get blogging again!

LOVE MY CLUB (yes, it's a club and I'd be bludgeoned if I called it a gym, ha)! It's the Colorado Athletic Club in Boulder and we also have towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shave cream, hair dryers, curling irons, etc. Very fancy and new (only open 2 years). It has a saline indoor pool as well as a saline outdoor pool (my fav), yoga, pilates, spinning, Compu Trainer, and tons of free weights and cardio. Another nice perk is the eucalyptus steam room. And there's definitely not a shortage of triathletes working out there...elites and pros! I would (probably) give up beer before I gave up my club!

I've thought about doing the Computrainer studio at our club but I don't think I'm in that league yet ;) Glad you got the awesome experience and valuable information! Good luck with your "early season" training. I only say that because you are not really doing an "off season"!

I'm doing Boulder 70.3, August 5th, and you are more than welcome to come to Boulder, have some wine, catch up on old times, do a little shopping, and oh yeah we can do a little race while you're here. ha ha. No pressure...I know you have a lot of goals but just throwing it out there since I'm already signed up! ;) ~ Jen

So sorry that you weren't able to do Branson 70.3 but you gotta have the bigger picture in mind. That being...first of all your health/strong body and secondly...IMFL. Just know that you've already built the endurance and it will sustain you though the race as long as your ankle holds up. Good luck with your new plan for training and don't push it. I'm sending good thoughts your way! ~Jen
