Thanks Sue, my goal was to keep it simple...but yet again Im struggling a little to do just that. I wanted it to look like a simple web-site and not a blog...so Im moving toward just that. It costs only 10 bucks a year to buy your domain name. Im on one of the Stretch templates that I have seen others use when they wanted to add links and some photos and make it look like a web-site...but Ive had to tweak and mess around with it...arggggghhh!!!The cost of internet access will go up this year so I will have to do the no frills approach, and faze out of Typepad, weep.Im in transition that is for sure.

Looking for a Writer? Visit My new website
I've recently begun (which much intrepidation and gnashing of teeth) a new website that, I think, with be a good landing place for people interested in hiring me for various writing projects. It will be simple and to the point - just my resume, and PDF files of clips (sample writing). This bl...
Thanks Jennifer...I keep tweaking it,,,it isn't working very well. Oh, I think I'm eliminating friends on the site, but I will have a new blog where you can friend me, and hope you will!

I love the sign...I told them if they ever pack up and leave town...I want the sign!
Relax, You're In Anoka
In any quest for change, I suppose it is normal to feel a little,oh I don't know...overwhelmed and blue (?). But I've brought myself to this place of transition and I'm determined to follow through. (That even sort of rhymes:-) I need a more writer focused presence on the internet; or so everyo...
Hi Sharon, Anoka is actually Garrison Keilor's home town (he went to school with my aunt)...but I think Lake Wobegone is a fictional but similar place....with fun stores!

I love this...beautiful pattern! Also, love the updates to the site!
Repeat, pattern, repeat
I am in the processing of finishing one of my journals, and have been going back to pages that are not quite done and finishing them. This is one of those. I painted out some spots and then just started doodling in those spaces. I forgot how much I like patterns. :-) below is what the page us...
Thank you Rising Rainbow...I think it will get busier before it gets better...I need to change to a regular web-site that I can keep a bit more static. Then I at least can let go of the once a week post.
Paper Dolls, Dip Pens and Lots and Lots of Change
I never grew out of paper dolls, in fact they only grew more interesting. I began ripping through high fashion magazines, cutting out the most bizarre figure images and changing them in some way. For this image, I painted her face, added glasses, and cut her dress completely away, instead addin...

How disapointing. I would have expected a much better outcome. The small Hand-Books are pretty amazing.
Hand•Book Journal Company's Watercolor Sketchbook
Above: The brand-new and warped Hand•Book Journal Co. watercolor journal. Click on the image to view an enlargement. A linen-weave type of bookcloth is my favorite. They tend to be hardy and long-wearing. They are always attractive. So when I was browsing at Wet Paint and saw the new Hand•Book...
I'm all for it Roz...you can sketch in my book any time!
My Cunning Plan: Infiltrating the Journals and Sketchbooks of Others
Left: I make an appearance in Ken Avidor's journal, ©Ken Avidor. The other day I was cleaning the studio—putting finished projects away, tidying up—and my mind was wandering. "What will be my next project?" Then it came to me. I love it—it's something I've already started, and it will be on-g...
