Hi, I have a question regarding websites with different titles.
Websites don't always have consistent Title information. For example, https://www.idc.com/promo/smartphone-market-share/os shows two titles:
1) IDC: Smartphone OS Market Share (HTML title tag)
2) Smartphone OS Market Share, 2017 Q1 (in-page written title)
Moreover, this page would get updated as time goes by (URL doesn't change, but content changes).
In such a situation, which should be the correct title to cite?
I'm expecting the reference to look like this:
International Data Corporation (n.d.) IDC: Smartphone OS market share. Retrieved October 12, 2017 from https://www.idc.com/promo/smartphone-market-share/os
In-text citation would be:
(International Data Corporation, n.d.) - if I don't intend to cite it again in the same paper
(International Data Corporation [IDC], n.d.) - first cite, if I intend to cite it again in the same paper
(IDC, n.d.) - subsequent cites in the same paper
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
